Are we doing this? Let's get to it:

    1 - San Andreas
    2 - V
    3 - Vice City
    4 - III
    5 - IV

Interesting. I wasn't able to download it with all of that space available, even if it wasn't going to use it. I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a new second drive.

Need to replay GTA V in FP mode. Loved that game.

    For me:
Vice City = GTA III > GTA V > GTA IV > San Andreas

Vice City and GTA III are nostalgic I think, GTA V is better game but I have fonder memories of the other two.

I never played any of the "Stories" series or dlc packs for any of them. I always had so much fun just trying to complete the games as is, in their entirety.

At the time I was so excited to have a new GTA, but looking back this is pretty much exactly how I feel about IV.

    Vice City
    V
    San Andreas
    The Lost and the Damned
    Ballad of Gay Tony
    IV
    III
    LCS
    VCS

I loved the ground that IV set for V to be built on. The game mechanics jumped forward in a great way. But, the storyline and main character never caught me at all in IV. San Andreas has always been my favorite story line next to Vice City. Then V's story line.

This is my order of the GTA games I've played, I'd love them to do a 3D London game but I doubt that'll ever happen.

    Vice City>GTA V>San Andreas>GTA IV>GTA III>GTA London>GTA>GTA 2

I really doubt they will ever replicate the overall quality of Vice City. It perfectly blended the motivation of character, capturing the time and place, and motivating the player. Too often the stories go off in nonsensical directions, like CJ ending up working in a Chinese casino or Niko becoming a hitman for the Mafia long after making all his money from the heist. Tommy Vercetti was a ruthless criminal with a mission, and acted as such.

Definitely loved Tommy Vercetti as a character. That was Ray Liotta who voiced him right? Perfect fit.

now if we want to get into a real discussion lets talk about who had the best soundtrack

and why is the only acceptable answer gta SA

I might have some bias there

Those pre Xbox 360 GTAs haven't aged as well as you'd like.

San Andreas is the only mainline game in the series I couldn't even finish the story, I don't even know why but I never got into it and hated the gang territory mechanic.

I don't even listen to the soundtracks on IV and V. I use taxis or do it with the radio off. Vice City was the iconic one.

I played through all of them a few months ago. III is really hard to play, but Vice City and San Andreas are fine.

I mean the single player is good but the multiplayer is straight up grindy trash in service solely of cash shark

anytime I play an open world game with radios, I always instantly look for the hip hop station.

Yeah Morrissey has nailed my view on why I Love Vice City so much, imo both the story and the soundtrack are the best. I love those cheesy 80's pop songs sooo much.

San Andreas is definitely 2nd on my list of GTA soundtracks though, so many good jams on that one.

That's me in real life. Also, the only acceptable alternative to the hip hop station in GTA is talk radio.

I never really cared for the talk radio in any game. I'm a fake.
