I need to go back and get all the endings and then I think once I finish that I'm going to delete it. Just full closure on one of the most moving games I've ever played

So I played the PS3 version of REmake, the atrocious frame rate was scarier than the game.

I don't know if I'd give RE7 GOTY. Solid game but the middle part was a true downer.

I never would have thought anything would beat Zelda for me this year but then Nier changed my life.

"Eurogamer: Does this mean Uncharted can carry on further without Nathan Drake? Do you consider this the end of its characters' stories?

Escayg: I wouldn't say it's the end. This thieving world is huge. There's so many characters. Even before we settled on this particular story we were exploring Sullivan, we were exploring Cutter, and pairing each other up, thinking what would be right, what would have conflict, growth, something new, something fresh. And Chloe was the one that kept jumping out.

But to say the Uncharted world is done... I doubt that highly.

Eurogamer: Lost Legacy looks up to the quality fans now expect from Naughty Dog - but you guys are also working on The Last of Us 2. How many people are working on Lost Legacy now? How much of the studio?

Escayg: Right now, the studio's focus is Lost Legacy. We have a truly ambitious schedule. The Last of Us [project] is working but at a lot slower pace right now. The entire team is on Lost Legacy - that's a couple hundred of us strong.

Eurogamer: Naughty Dog has so far resisted the urge to make a fully open world game, despite industry trends. Would you ever venture into that territory, or is it a case of you guys sticking to what you're good at?

Escayg: The future is uncertain there - we're always testing it. There's a segment in Lost Legacy similar to [Uncharted 4's] Madagascar where you can choose to explore and see different areas at different times, experience it differently. When we find a way to do things in an open world I think we'll definitely venture there at some point."

This is all very disappointing to me.

I'm having the exact opposite reaction haha. I would be fine with them making more Uncharted games focused on different protagonists (still holding out hope for one starring Drake and Elena's daughter), I want The Lost Legacy to be as good as possible, I don't even want TLOU2 so the longer it takes to come out the better, and I don't want them to make an open-world game unless they have a truly great idea for it.

I hate the idea of more Uncharted games with anybody else. The Lost Legacy is already the least interested in a ND game I've ever been but I was fine with it because I thought it was just a small thing they were doing that came from DLC. Knowing that it's taking up pretty much all of Naughty Dog and that they're interested in doing more with the franchise is depressing. It's already the least interesting universe they've created, I want to see them do new things not milk Uncharted.

I didn't want TLOU2 either but the trailer swayed me and I feel like there's a lot more left in that universe if they are going to do a sequel than there is in Uncharted.

I don't want them considering open world games at all, haha.

This is disappointing but not at all surprising. I'm kind of interested in Lost Legacy - I like Chloe, I would like to see more of Nadine but I'm also not quite sure I want more Uncharted yet just a year and change after 4. TLoU2 will be great, I'm sure, but as much as I enjoyed the first I wasn't exactly begging for a sequel and wouldn't have minded it staying its own, standalone thing. More than anything else, I want to see NEW things from Naughty Dog, it's a bummer that we'll probably go the entire PS4 generation without a new IP from them.

Uncharted is Sony's biggest franchise. No way they'll let it go. It'll keep going forever.

This. You can blame everyone online clamoring for TLOU2 for that, Sony has dollar signs in their eyes because it.

They did it with Crash and Jak.. I don't know why they're stopping the one time I actually want them to drop a franchise.

I get Sony wanting to keep it, have them make a studio to keep pumping out Uncharted games if they really want like MS do for Gears/Halo. Let ND make new stuff, they're way too creative to be stuck as the Uncharted team.

Crash and Jak stopped selling and Uncharted just now really went into overdrive I think. Crash wasn't a Sony property to begin, or did Activision buy it from them at some point?

I do agree with that. Microsoft created teams for both of those franchises and that is great because they can fill these teams with people that know what they are in for and really want to work on these games. Sony should do the same with a series like Uncharted.

It was never a Sony property - at the time, Universal published the Crash games and owned the IP. Vivendi bought Universal and eventually merged with Activision.

Yeah I thought you said ND's franchise, ha. Which again, they didn't own Crash either but based on interviews I think they had the choice of whether to continue making Crash games or not and they chose to start a new thing.

I personally think Naughty Dog should just start making games without gunplay but Sony would never let them do that at this point

We all know what Naughty Dog should really be doing: a new kart racer.
