I bought skyrim today

 

I still need to buy that remaster, mainly to continue on with my modded adventure with my Emperor Palpentine character.

 

This is either gonna be real good or real bad

 

Eh

 

Color me excited. Feel like it'll be super expensive to make a Witcher world though.

 

I'm interested. Hopefully it's better than that awful Polish show!

 

So I did cave and bought Injustice 2 last night. 3 of my co-workers came over with a 12 pack of PBR and Chili. I went to bed at 3:30 and was 10 minutes late to work.

Game is a lot of fun. Visually striking on a 4k TV too.

I started NieR Automata because I'm late for everything and I love it so far

First game in a while that's made me like "I want to be fully immersed in this"

 

ok I lied but now today I actually bought it since it was like $10 cheaper at target than Walmart

 

I love finding deals like that ever since console games made the jump from $49.99 to $59.99. Wal Mart still right now sells Doom $20 cheaper than everywhere else for whatever reason. Great buy.

 

Skyrim was on sale for $29.99 at Target plus I used my red card and had my friend use their discount and it was a nice little deal.

 

Can't unsee it now, but it got me thinking about which Clones would be what heroes/villains so I'm alright with that haha.

 

HOTS is beyond boring to me. I'm literally right clicking to get these skins. Lol

 

I really hope the PUBG console port is really well done.

I'm always watching streams of it because it took the Smite community over.

It also seems like the perfect game for me and my brother to play together.

 

Kind of a weird, unexpected comparison: as much as I'm enjoying Darksiders, I suddenly realized it's a lot like Alice: Madness Returns, but worse. I mean, Darksiders isn't bad, it's just that Alice 2 had better, well, basically everything: collectibles, combat, maps, music, platforming, puzzles, setting, story. Darksiders combat feels a bit less one-dimensional than Alice 2 because of how many moves you have, but the controls are still rather clunky. Alice 2 has generally more difficult boss fights and oftentimes its platforming was torturous, but there's a feeling of accomplishment I get from it that I don't get from Darksiders whenever I beat a boss or complete a jumping puzzle that made it feel like a more rewarding experience. With Darksiders, whenever I enter a new map, I kind of just go "huh, cool," whereas with Alice 2, I would always find myself stopping to look around in awe of everything. I guess it's unfair to say that Darksiders has a less interesting story than Alice 2 when I'm only halfway through it, especially considering Alice 2 was also a pretty slow burn at first, but the way Alice 2 tackled mental illness, especially towards the end, was so satisfying that I don't think something so masculine (there have been a whopping total of two female characters so far and neither of them have been very well fleshed out--to be fair, no one's been fleshed out--and also all the character designs are so bulky and muscular it's kind of ridiculous) and brainlessly hack-and-slash-y like Darksiders will be able to compare. It's kind of just now dawning on me how important Alice 2 is in terms of female representation in games, up there with Child of Light and Life is Strange, which (I'm gonna start sounding like a broken record here) are two of my most favorite games recently.

All that being said, I'm really enjoying Darksiders.

 

So Injustice 2 any good then? Coming out in the UK tomorrow and I haven't played a fighting game in ages but this one has me excited by the looks of it

 

Yet some people still call it "Splatoon 1.5"

 

Splatoon is alright.

For a second there I was about to say you're in the wrong thread.

 

Groot already shows up at least one of Rocket's attacks so he's probably not going to be playable, sadly. Would like to see Venom return to the series though.

 

Hopefully if Venom is back, he has a similar moveset. I played the shit out of him in MVC2.
