PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (henceforth known as PUBG) is now installing :D

 

Arkham Knight and its season pass for 8 bucks each on Steam? Hmm. Pretty good for something relatively recent that I'd play right away. But I don't know, I did just spend x amount of dollars on Overwatch event loot boxes. Shouldn't be spending so much on games. Dammit, Overwatch, you and your pretty Mercy skins.

From the standpoint of gaming history, it'd be kinda cool to play through that despite being very outdated and awkward to play.

It was easy for this to get overlooked between Horizon and Zelda.

It's the best "metroidvania" game I've played in a long, long time. I mean, I'd put it up there with Super Metroid and Symphony of the Night. Every piece of it is just that well crafted. Team Cherry knocking it out of the park with their first game.

 

I'm very excited to play Hollow Knight whenever it comes to PS4 or Switch.

 

They've been trying for like a year or so now, maybe longer. Wonder if it'll finally happen.

 

Vivendi is one of those umbrella corp type fucking corporations. like these motherfuckers own everything secretly and they were founded by fuckin' imperial decree of Napoleon III

 

To think that at one time, the French government had to step in and make sure EA Games couldn't acquire them. How times have changed.

 

played 3 hours of PUBG today... game is fucking amazing

 

Vivendi is French though and EA is not. France can be protectionist at times.

On the topic of Vivendi taking over Ubisoft: what that would mean for Ubisoft would depend very much on how much indepence Vivendi gives them. I haven't looked into it in a while but I remember there being problems in that regard in the past. I have absolutely no problem with mergers and acquisitions but my gut says this would be bad for Ubisoft and therefore for video games.

 

VR software venture capital dried up year over year. R.I.P.

 

I'm really bad at setting up big Puyo Puyo combos and I really like the combined Puyo Puyo Tetris mode. Plain-ass Tetris is still the king though. As a whole the game is great - a great selection of modes and looks suitably bright and colorful. The story mode is a little...talky but the character designs are fun and it's still a cool thing to have in there. It doesn't quite touch the king of Tetris for me (Tetris DS) but it's a very, very great puzzle game that I'll play for a long time. Glad it finally came over.

Finished Battleborn's story mode. Was actually pretty enjoyable, even though the dialogue was a little lacking.

Now for some Arkham Knight. Ugh, finally, I've been waiting forever to get this.

ok last kendrick reference. Glad Hollow Knight delivers. Think I'll grab it on switch instead as well. Being able to play it on the go will be a huge plus.

 

i 100% am buying hollow knight again when it comes too the switch. I hope it gets a physical release.
