since we're doing this, I'm tucah on PSN

 

I am trying the original Silent Hill. The controls might make it hard to finish.

 

played through Everybody's Gone to the Rapture yesterday. interesting game. definitely one of those things where I felt compelled to read think pieces afterwards to see how others felt/find things I missed. it wasn't as emotionally resonant as Gone Home, but it's a cool experience.

next thing on my list is SOMA, but I'm like 15 minutes in and already questioning why I bought it. I don't do well with horror games.

 

bit the bullet and bought a ps4 today. first console in about 10 years. add me - OicheNight

 

Determined to find time today or tomorrow to play some more Nier.

 

Just installed Battleborn. Let's see how this goes.

It looks like Gearbox has been releasing a "Battleplan" each week with details on updates and other news, so it's a good sign that they aren't giving up on it despite Overwatch's success. I was actually really excited for Battleborn before Overwatch took over my life, so.

 

Honestly it's nothing like Overwatch.

 

Yeah it's very different but also not very good

 

Welp, played a little Nier and ran into a glitch in one of the first subquests. Might have to restart the game, apparently. Sigh.

 

Weird. What happened?

 

Doing the first weapons dealer subquest and 1 of the gears I need isn't loading in. The game highlighted where it should be but it isn't and there's nowhere else to look/go. I reloaded my save and no luck.

 

Strange. That sucks.

 

Decided to dive into KH2 again, forgot how much I love this game. PS4 port seems fine so far, I know crashes seem to be a problem but I haven't run into any yet (*knocks on wood*).

Phew. Finally got the Nier quest to properly work.

 

The Witcher 3 is so incredible, I remember some of you guys talking about it on here and I'm still blown away by the sheer amount of stuff to do on here. Only a couple of hours in and the quests keep piling up and up. Thanks to you guys and a couple of other friends for influencing me to buy this game.

It's amazing.

Also, once you beat the game and you still have the urge to play gwent, well, I have good news. If you don't already know, there's a standalone version (free to play) Gwent coming.

 

Yeah I saw someone playing that on my Xbox friends list the other day, may have to try it out once I'm done. Pretty sure it said he was playing the beta version so idk if it's an open beta or not but I'm excited

 

Witcher 3 is definitely the next game I buy after I complete my backlog

 

Man, I still need to get around to Blood and Wine one of these days

 

Really enjoying Nier. Saw some robots getting naughty, fought a ken-doll smooth man, and visited an amusement park.

 

Witcher 3 makes most other video games look bad

 

Poor Battleborn. Like looking back on it, it was fun for what it was and it had some cool art design but there was no way it was going to compete against the likes of Overwatch, or Smite/Paragon in the MOBA realm. To be honest, I can't really think of one Gearbox game post BL2 that really captured my attention or didn't disappoint me somehow.

 

I have the stand alone gwent game on my Xbox.

but I've never played witcher 3.

 

One day, I'll sit down and actually get through Witcher 3. There's just so much game.
