Aaaarrrrgghhh having a bad day in Rocket League but was playing against a crap team. I finally get a shot in on an empty goal. It's trickling in but no one to save and then my team mate flies in to steal it and manages to miss from about a yard outside the goal!!!!

 

any thoughts on Apotheon? it usually gets pretty middling reception, because the combat is kind of janky, but i've actually really grown to like it, it feels like Quake and Dark Souls had an awkward Greek baby

 

Is it just me or is Mafia 3 not very good?

 

Maybe the Mac port is bad, but it feels very weird to me. Could not get into it.

I love the setting/theme and the 2D Souls-y thing is right up my alley but I played a bit of it at launch and the sort of floaty, sort of janky nature didn't click for the couple hours I put in. I kept meaning to give it another shot but then I totally forgot it existed until...right now, hah.

 

Weird. I'm admittedly not very far into it but everything just feels a little... off. as I play it. I'll give it another couple hours though.

 

Yeah Mafia 3 felt pretty clunky to me. Setting was cool but gameplay was meh

 

The shooting is great for that type of game, and I also love the gameplay loop. I can see how some people might find it lacking though, it's a lot less like GTA than some people might think before they play it.

 

If it were linear like Mafia 2 and focused on the story bits, I'd have finished it a long time ago.

 

Yeah I think that's the divide right there between people that like it and people that don't

 

It was a little too repetitive for me, but I still enjoyed it.

 

Yeah, it feels very strange and floaty, but it factors into the combat strategy which is why I say quake. It's only Souls like in that it's sword and board, you can roll through damage (it's too finicky to be useful though), and you fight massive gods who think you're a tiny mortal. Level design and tone it's very different, and imo it's pretty easy (absolutely is too much so if you don't switch to the higher difficulty)

 

I got like motion sick after only playing for a few minutes. Maybe the framerate was fucked up on my Mac. I like the look and, in theory, the combat though.

 

It's not super well optimized, although it's probably more graphics intensive than it initially looks with dynamic lighting and lots of npcs and large levels and stuff. Whenever the frame rate drops I get a headache pretty quickly

 

Yeah I'm not mad, I got it for like 2€ so it'll sit in my library until I have a monster PC haha

 

Mafia 3 was a really really good story that outshone repetitive gameplay

The mechanics were also decent despite the occasional hiccup

I got it free with PS+, one of the better offerings. Got quite into it last summer, but never finished it. Never had any issues, and always enjoyed my time with the game.

 

Finished up Bioshock 2 and Minerva's Den over the last two days. Fantastic game with a lot of simple yet effective improvements from the first game.

Playing in the Big Daddy suit in the first game was a big distraction to me, but it quickly became normal after an hour of Bioshock 2.

 

It was such a good deal, couldn't pass it up. As soon as I get through the my backlog, I'm going to play through the whole series in one stretch.

I'm playing The Witcher DLC after not having played the game for more than a year. I don't know how to play this game anymore, I keep dying.

 

Got the Lego Harry Potter Collection and Tomb Raider from the Flash Sale. I played TR when it was free on PS3 with Plus, but I wanted it for the PS4 lol

 

I got a LEGO bundle for steam thanks to bundlestars.com - batman, Marvel's avengers, Harry Potter years 1-4.

 

I'm playing this adventure time game that's like a point and click game and it's truly amazing how into it I am.

It also helps it's super easier compared to the other point and click games I've been playing.
