i'm not seeing anything about that so far. i don't think that will ever work for a console though lol

 

The implication had been pretty heavy in regards to this over the past few years. Not specifically the Scorpio but consoles in general.

The very idea of that bothers me so much. Its bad enough I need to upgrade my PS4's hard drive because the one it comes with holds like 4 games at this point.

 

Nah, there will still be concrete generations. However, there will prob be mid gen refreshes each gen. So next gen, well get ps5 pro and Xbox platinum or whatever, that do 8k. Probably lol.

I would not expect there to be more iterative consoles this generation after this one. The Pro isn't doing so well and Phil is already downplaying how well Scorpio will sell compared to the One S. Combine that with the fact that a propper new generation is good for marketing and it's almost a certainty that a "real new console" will happen at some point. Unless of course Scorpio blows up.

 

Now THAT is really intriguing...

jk but I'm glad it sounds good. Microsoft just needs to get some games for it.

 

That's what I think. At some point they'll have to leave one console behind, at which point we've entered a "new generation". I do think gamea will carry forward more easily from now on.

 

Hopefully Forza 7 and Crackdown 3 will really push the hardware. Not sure what the details of Rockstar's marketing contract with Sony is but if a side by side of RDR2 comes out and Scorpio looks definitively better that'll help alot. Pie in the sky is that Microsoft picks up their own marvel exclusive but I have no idea what studio would do it.

 

4K CUPHEAD

 

Thimbleweed Park might be the best game I have played so far this year. Holy shit is it just pitch perfect what I needed. Did not expect it to be Top 10, but I think it may be top 5.
