I agree with you there. I disagree with almost everything he says and he's just super annoying.

 

I used to enjoy Kinda Funny, but yeah Colin Moriarty ruined it for me. His politics are the worst and I'm proud to say he blocked me on Twitter lmao

 

I listen to the Kinda Funny Playstation podcast just because I love the news rundown they do.

 

I don't care for most of his political opinions but I also don't mind him having them in theory, it just that he can't ever shut up about it. What really did it for me however is that he's so often so wrong (about video games and the video game business that is, I'm not even including his politics) even though he is such a insuferable and almost aggresve know-it-all. It's so irritating. Greg, the hypebeast, isn't great to listen to either, but that's a whole different story. Also, the whole business model of that site smells fishy to me.

What is he wrong about?

 

I don't try to remember nonsense I heard a long time ago so I can't help you. I just know he frequently rambles (or at least he did almost every time I tuned in) about the business side of the industry and he's often pretty wrong about how things work, though you wouldn't notice it unless you knew better because he's so confident about it. That makes sense given his politics though I guess.

 

Woke up hours earlier than I had to to await the release of KH 1.5+2.5 on the Japanese PSN, only to find out the PSN doesn't actually update until 10am Japan time, so 8pm EST.

Friccin baited so hard.

 

He definitely comes across as an idiot any time I watch their stuff, ha.

I go to Kinda Funny for like "fun" time wasting stuff. Their critical analysis isn't really that deep and I prefer PC Gamer and other outlets for things like that. But I really enjoy Greg's passion for DC and PlayStation. Colin and the rest are incredibly meh.

hmm, that's weird. guess it's doing OK on console.

 

Haven't played it nah but I did watch tons of gameplay. I don't see much content there and the content that does exist looks like it would get old super fast.

 

I couldn't not download Psychonauts with that great discount.

 

eh the same argument could be said for battlefield, titanfall and other games. heck, even overwatch. but what makes them stick is updating and adding things over time, and the overall enjoyment of the competition. besides, FH has multiple single player campaigns and multiple online MP modes, as well as the strategy stuff. so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i'm just waiting for KH 1.5+2.5 tho. i still have the uncharted trilogy (kinda meh to go through after UC4 as everyone said lol) and World of FF to finish.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to KH, but I'm also still just scraping the surface of Horizon, and as much as I like Horizon, I can't stop myself from continuing to play Stardew Valley. Throw my favorite game ever into the mix and I won't have any damn clue what I'll want to play

 

Oh yeah, in case anyone is curious what KH looks like on the PS4 at 60 FPS (and with practically no loading), here's 90 minutes of 1.5

 

real talk I've been actually dreading going from Nier Automata on PC on the 17th to Mass Effect Andromeda on the 21st to KH 1.5 + 2.5 the 28th and THEN Persona 5 April 4th

like it's insane.

 

If the Black Box version of Nier were cheaper, I'd probably had snagged it.

 

Wow, KH 1.5+2.5 looking great. I have no clue how to handle all of these games. Still haven't even beaten FFXV (keep waiting for that damn chapter 13 patch...also I'm terrible at finishing games lol), playing through NieR (the original) now, then moving on to Automata and hoping to knock it out (and, ambitiously, Persona 4 Golden if possible) before Persona 5. We'll see how far I get on those hopes. Still wanna play HZD, BotW, and KH 1.5+2.5. This year is off the charts so far.

 

Picked up a Nintendo Mini after work. Thought fuck it this might be my last chance.

 

in the past few months i finished FFXV (waiting for DLC), WD2 (ditto), Uncharted 4, Infamous Second Son, and Ratchet and Clank. I think I have about 3 chapters left of World of FF, and I'm just over halfway thru Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Apparently Shadow of Mordor isn't that long.
