Nintendo is a joke.

Like how do you look at Games with Gold or PSN+ and think your service even comes close?

 

I said it in the Nintendo thread, but it's early to jump at them, I'd at least until there's a price point for their online service. If it's cheaper than PS+/Xbox Live, then yeah, it makes sense to not give the game out.

 

I can't wait to get it! Trying to finish Tomb Raider this weekend before I get WD.

 

Nah it still makes sense to jump at them especially given their track record when it comes to online services.

They've done nothing to lift their much deserved scrutiny when it comes to online. Very, very skeptical.

 

We've literally seen pretty much nothing about their online service yet, I'm not going to get up in arms about something that we know very little about

So in part we are paying for services that actually require us to use a smartphone to actually use. Simple stuff that has been integral parts of other console experiences for a decade that they can't even fully integrate into their platform proper?

Couple that with their horrid past at online support, a free game that disappears in a month compared to their competition's in perpetuity and skepticism is absolutely warranted.

I just don't see how this is a defensible practice in 2017. Nintendo is beyond frustrating because I love their IPs but they make it so hard to support them.

 

It will be a great day when you can buy Nintendo games on PlayStation and not have to deal with this nonsense.

 

Did they say a smartphone is required or is it more of a supplemental thing like the playstation app? If it's required that's crazy. Agreed on how their previous online support doesn't exactly give me high hopes for this new one.

 

No idea what to do with the situation I am in with my Xbox One since it clearly hasn't got much life in it. If I try and get it replaced it will be a while until I get one back from Microsoft since I have to send mine off and then wait for them to send one back which will screw up what I use my Xbox One for. Buying a new one from Amazon for instance is a no go since I may as well buy an Xbox One S but then do I want to buy a new console like that with the latest Xbox console coming out towards the end of the year. I hate dilemmas like this...

Man, finished Titanfall 2's campaign. So fucking good.

 

Finally finished all 5 Chapters of King's Quest. What a great looking game that was super fun, hilarious dialogue, great puzzles and lots of nostalgia of the previous iterations even though I didn't play them, and a fantastic story!

Super annoyed about the bonus/epilogue episode though

 

Just got to watch the Switch thing just now. A lot of great looking games for and some amazing tech in that machine. Can't wait.

Also, Mario looks so so so fucking good.

 

The Switch conference convinced me that I need to wait until wii u prices hit rock bottom, so I can play all amazing games the wii u enabled.

Not good for business, but it is what it is.

 

I would not count on the WiiU becoming all that cheap. The WiiU has always been sold at a loss, so why make the loss bigger at this point. The don't want people buying WiiUs anymore anyway.

Also, one more thing about the Switch: 300$ for this machine isn't a lot (those two controllers alone are pretty sophisticated), it only seems like that because the video games industry is underpricing itself to death.

 

I can't stop watching that trailer, it looks so ridiculous. That's what I love about Nintendo. That entire Switch presentation was so stupid, in the most wonderful way
