Completed N.E.R.O. today. Interesting little game even if the controls weren't great

48 hours. That doesn't count the post game stuff. Just a large amount of side quests and the main story. It would probably take another 25-30 hours to get almost everything done. I was level 57.

Well that is shitty, playing through Dead Rising 4 on my second playthrough and I load up the game which proceeds to spawn me in one of the safe shelters that I haven't unlocked or have the key for...

Yes and no way out as it only saves in one big chunk, so both my first playthrough and what I got through the second time round are completely useless. I was Level 80 and had nearly a 50,000 kill count, so annoyed.

Not sure but just going to let it lie, had so many glitches with that game and that is the last straw. Seem to be having a bad run with games with this and FFXV.

I've been pretty lucky avoiding glitches for the past year. Only one that I encountered was in Skyrim, where the game spawned 5 duplicate characters.

I was as well until I got screwed over by DR4 and lulled into a false sense of this is how the game is with FFXV.

It's one I often put in my amazon cart and then later back out of because my backlog is so large. Finally said, screw it and bought it.

Being new to the series I was oblivious to how high of a level I needed to be for the final section of the game and I since I was generally enjoying the story didn't think about whether grinding to get my level higher was necessary. Come the final part where you have to fight through three progressively harder bosses I make it through two of them only to then find I had neither the level or resources to succeed and no old save file to fall back on.

The reason why I thought Watch_Dogs 2, more than most other Ubisoft open world games, did a better job at being 'open world' was because most of the side missions tied into the story/the overall themes, they weren't repetitive, and the collectibles were actually worth something (money, skills, outfits). And the map was pretty lively and colorful, so it was fun to explore. WD1 by comparison.. Repetitive side quests, and way too many of them. Same with most AC games - outside of the treasure chests which are actually worth something, I don't see the necessity of most of the collectibles.

Sleeping Dogs I think was pretty good. Didn't feel too overwhelming but it was repetitive in certain parts.

FFXV fell into that trap of repeating side quests. You finish a quest for someone, then they want you to do the same thing another 3 or 4 times. And besides some unique ones like the boss fights to get the legendary weapons, it feels pointless.

speaking of which though, haha, i'm tempted to get Infamous Second Son. howlongtobeat says completionist is only like 20 hours, so that's pretty good. Thoughts??

What level were you at in FFXV? I'm wrapping it up now and am just wondering how far off we are level wise.

I was level 45 at the end of the story, because I did a lot of side quests and made sure to keep buying the curatives.

I'm level 38 and from what I'm seeing I'm a little bit on the underleveled side. I'm way stocked up on curatives, so I should be alright.

Gonna trade in FFXV today. Just can't bring myself to play it. All the worst bits of an open-world RPG. Those side quests are abhorrent and being told I have to grind them to beat the game is enough for me to give up on even trying.
