finally played Gone Home today. loved it. Just started another game I been meaning to get to, Valiant Hearts. Beautiful story so far, based on old letters from World War I.

 

This is the greatest video I've ever seen..

Monster Factory is occasionally real good fun. dude sounds like Conan

All the WD2 reviews look pretty good, except for IGN's review in progress of 6.5

For real though. These sequels are all getting really good reviews but the OG games were all so mediocre that I can't see myself even trying them. Watch Dogs, Titanfall, and Dishonored all felt like wastes to me but the reviews for the new ones are really good. I won't be fooled again!

So yeah concerns about wd2 story and dialogue were well warranted it seems. But gameplay seems to make up for it as I thought.

Will pick up eventually.

 

I'm at level 36 and I'm like, how the fuck do I get to level 46. All my magic skills are already 50-75. I guess I can focus on stealth or warrior skills, but it seems so counter-intuitive when I can now just cast Summon Dremora Lord and breeze through the rest of the game, haha.

I started the game intending to go straight warrior Nord, but went full on mage instead. Old habits die hard, I guess. The Nord ability isn't as helpful as I'd hoped, especially as a mage. Kind of makes me wish I chose Altmer, but I already did that with my very first character that I got to level 60-something.

Now that I'm quite a few hours in, the Special Edition doesn't look that much different, but holy shit the sky is beautiful, was it always that way?

 

This is how I played through Skyrim and Oblivion. I don't think my character was any good at anything. I also had a habit of locking my companion in rooms with enemies I knew I didn't stand a chance against. They can't die, so I'd just wait it out.

Tales from the Borderlands but with Guardians characters would work pretty well.

 

I actually told my follower to go home and stopped summoning so that I could focus on Destruction and One-Handed a little more. But it also means everyone is now focusing on only me...

I haven't! I so rarely play games these days. I used to be a huge PC gamer but I haven't had a good computer in forever now so I don't tend to try any.
