Just listened to a Life is Strange podcast interview of Ashly Burch who voiced Chloe. Was really interesting when she said how she and Hannah Telle (voice of Max) reocorded the scene of their characters finding Rachel's body together and were actually crying in the booth. Like a total masochist, I rewatched that scene and started crying again.

Anyway, Ashly is one of my favorite people. I'm about to butcher this very touching part of the interview, but everything she said about relating to Chloe always feeling alone and abandoned, but that never actually being the case in real life, and just finding those people in your life who, like Max was to Chloe, believe in you and love you for who you are despite or even because of your flaws and what you're going through, really resonated with me.

I absolutely loved her performance as Chloe. And to think she's the same actress who voices Tiny Tina. Incredible.

 

so just beat Resident Evil 3 today. HELD UP AMAZING. mechanically I liked how it added onto what 2 did and wasn't just more of the same. Having Nemesis stalk you the whole game added a level of stress that I had yet to experience in a game. Maybe I just suck it was also the hardest RE game i've played. I had horrible ammo management all game and it really screwed me over in certain parts.

 

I never beat Re3 because I was terrible at ammo management and got screwed in a part where I had to fight a boss and had saved right beforehand and didn't have enough ammo.

 

Since we're on the topic of AC: Syndicate, i'm currently playing through it on XB1 and all the sudden I stop hearing audio direct from the character. Voice, footsteps, sfx, ect.... also other voice work as well. Music and the things going on around my character are fine. It worked fine before and all the sudden it's screwing up. I have to play the game in stereo so I can hear it properly. I can't play it in surround sound which is totally bogus. I've messed with my receiver as well as internal XB1 settings and it just boils down to I have to play it in stereo. Lame.

Also playing through Silent Hill 3 again since it's almost Halloween and I played through SH2 this time last year. So gooooood.

EDIT: I accidentally unlugged my center channel speaker when cleaning earlier today . -_-

 

Friends on PC, I play a lot of Rocket League, Battlefield 1, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, etc.

Yup! Will wait for review for Horizon for sure. But word is the game finally delivers.

 

i straight up died like 15 times fighting nemesis outside the clocktower cause i had so little ammo and absolutly no herbs.

 

I've got the collector's edition of Horizon preordered, if that reflects upon my hype/expectations at all.

Just get the 60 ver and get season pass with first paid dlc drop in March.

I'm pretty sure this is the exact part I got stuck on and quit lol. It was a long time ago though and I was probably worse at games, maybe I'll try again soon. It's the only RE game I haven't played all the way through.

 

DOOM reminds me of the feeling I had playing Wolfenstein The New Order. Amazing combat/gameplay, fun progression/level up system, awesome weapons, great level design with open areas, awesome graphics.

Fuck this game has delivered and I'm only on level 4. Loving it.

 

Yep. Bethesda has been doing a fantastic job reviving old ID games.

I still need to play The New Order dlc.

 

Old Blood? It was excellent. Need to go back and try it out on Uber and get the challenges.

Really excited to see how the new Wolfenstein progresses, these both have been wins to me.

Also, love the hidden retro levels. Always fun to play through.

 

Yeah the hidden retro levels in both games were a great touch. I think I only found two though in Doom.

 

Grabbed Fallout 4 for $30 on the Network. Still not sure how I feel after about 6 or 7 hours.

So many fucking mini-Nuke assholes.

 

I went against my gut and bought BF1 on PC. So far I'm liking it.

 

IMO it's not as refined as 3, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Still need to play the DLC, and I need to re join the Railroad cuz I fucked up on my playthrough.

I have three out of the 4 but Super Dungeon Bros. looks cool. Also, they are technically all ONE games as they are BC. Once a a game goes GwG it automatically becomes BC. Pretty nice.

 

This is exactly how I feel. Human Revolution was one of my favourite games on PS3 and yet for some reason I didn't enjoy Mankind Divided at all. Played it for 3/4 hours and gave up.

 

Not even got that far, an hour at best. I'm sure it is a solid game (and the reviews suggest it is) but despite knowing I have paid for it I just can't bring myself to go any further. I'm hoping this is some phase and isn't an indication of something worse.

 

Smh MD is so good. Granted I haven't played HR.
