Hope we get a remaster of the first too.

"Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience."

I can see myself losing HOURS in Red Dead Online to be honest....spent so much time in the first. Just running around with friends.

Played the original before I was into multiplayer (I'm still just meh on it) so I'm looking forward to giving that a go. I know a lot of my friends went crazy for it.

The gameplay flow on Red Dead Redemption was pretty choppy and nowhere close to the smoothness of GTA but either way it's still a good game.

Like I said before, I don't think it's going to happen because the game went BC on the ONE and the history is that they don't remaster the game in that case.

Also, the game code for RDR exists in a state that it probably cannot be remastered.

what do you mean? Something like Bioshock is older or just as old and that was remastered wonderfully. genuinely curious what's different about the game code because I don't know much about that.

I still gotta play the original red dead. never got into it.

I'm currently still playing GTA 5 online. They released a biker mode. Not sure how to get into a bike gang yet.

This is not confirmed by Rockstar themselves, but has been speculated for quite some time now, but the state of the underlying development code in the game is extremely hard to work with. It's a miracle that the game runs as well as it does on the consoles it released on, and another miracle that it transferred well enough to Xbox One backwards compatibility. This is the biggest reason it never saw a PC release.

Even in the Bioshock remasters, you still have missing effects from code that had to be rewritten and adjusted for modern consoles. Old tools and outdated code can make thing difficult in a remaster.

RDR is one of the few games I'd call near perfect. Far superior to the last few GTAs imo.

Agree. One of the few open world games where all the added "nonsense" was actually awesome and took up so much of my time.

Chasing horses and then "breaking" them to be your new steed, or poker, or hunting out in the woods, or liar's dice...so damn fun. Nothing felt thrown in.

The sleeping dogs talk previously has me wanting to grab that for cheap.

I always talk about how I wanna get into single player games more but I never buy good ones lmao

If there is a remaster of RDR on the PS4, I'll give it a go. I never played it. Rockstar has a history of bumming me out with games.

Their games can be a "tedious" and repetitive. But the same can me said for most sandbox games. They are definitely masters of that genre.

I think Red Dead was better than GTA until 5 came along. The next gen and/or PC version of 5 is amazing.

I much prefer games that open up more as time goes by. I get a lot more out of a game like Infamous, Saints Row, or Far Cry than I do out of GTA games. I guess I'm just not big on games that feel really grounded. Different powers and stuff add to a level of variety I always found lacking in GTA. I think I turned in the last GTA game after just a few hours of playing it because nothing about it felt new at all.

I'm not nearly as big on GTA 5 as most are, didn't enjoy the multiple protagonists deal
