Gears came out today as long as you purchased the Premium Edition.

I want Gears even though I skipped 3 and Judgment.

Because of Play Anywhere. Except I don't have 80 GB of HDD space on my PC. Also it's my work PC, I don't have a PC or any computer at home.

I don't mind, Friday makes the most sense, gives you a chance to play over the weekend right away.

    I need Watch_Dogs 2.

I'm about an hour into Bioshock 2 and idk how I feel about it. It has the same general feel, but it's different enough that I'm not sure I like it.

That seemed to be the general response too iirc.

Bioshock 2 is a good game. It's just not on the same caliber as 1 and Infinite.

It's almost like a direct-to-video middle child of the two main events. It's just missing something.

I think Bioshock 1 was clunky, but unique enough to make it great (sort of like Metroid Prime), Bioshock 2 was the same but less interesting because Bioshock 1 already existed, and Infinite is an incredibly mediocre game with a great art direction.

I have never heard it described as "incredibly mediocre". The story was right on par if not better than Bioshock 1.

Exactly! The ending alone is mind blowing.

I respect your opinion, but I think the ending is full of holes, making the story ultimately as silly as most time travel stories. Aside from the incredible art, the level design was bad - corridor after corridor with way too much backtracking. The mediocre FPS gameplay (compared to other high profile FPS titles at the time) doesn't help. It's fine, but not more than that in my opinion.

That whole extended introduction to Mafia 3 was incredible. Dedication to story is kind of reminding me of Sleeping Dogs so far. Everything about the presentation is extraordinary and I love the documentary style. The gameplay isn't anything special so far though, I'm looking way more forward to each cutscene than actually playing.

What high profile FPS was out at that time other than maybe BF4 that could even stand up to Bioshock Infinite?

I love infinite. But I'd say the gameplay itself is really mediocre.

Had the most white-nuckle game session in RE4. In the big room with the cranks you need to operate in order to progress. I had barely any ammo, and the there were a ton of shield enemies around. Ashley was a champ though, and stayed right on me in the enemy crowded areas.

Right. That makes a lot more sense to me. Some of my favorite games are objectively mediocre.

To touch on Bioshock opinions: replaying the first on PS4 currently one of my biggest issues with the original on 360 was the frame rate. It's buttery smooth here, and looks great. I was certain I would get bored with it now, but I guess I forgot how many different tonics/plasmids I could mess around with. It's making it a cool playthrough, but my God the hacking is still not good imo. Esp after playing Mankind Divided where the hacking was neat. Just got out of Fort Frolic, and it was frustrating how many alarm files I hit when I already had barely any first aid kits.

  23. Psh, my newest console is the PS1. And you think you're behind. Exclusives are like the only downside I can think of for PC gamers, but man, it's a pretty big one.

That's what I've heard, I still want to get it but leary about spending 60 dollars when I've heard the game is technically mediocre in its mechanics and gameplay

  25. I am so excited for and jealous of you.

I've been trying to hype myself up for a replay (and first time with the remaster) for a while now but I'm afraid of the emotions.
