my roommate has been raving over Mankind Divided and I really want to peep HR too, but i have this thing about playing games chronologically haha. and it's a good game! it just takes some time to get past how janky and old it is

another series ive been meaning to get to, esp if @lightning13 has any say lmao. i enjoyed the gameplay of Shadow of Mordor enough and i do like historical game worlds a lot

 

Yeah. You need to get into AC. It's the best. I love it. AC3 is the worst in the series and, really, it wasn't that bad. I just hated the main character.

 

I'm playing through Bioshock 2 right now. I don't remember much about it, I remember disliking it when it first came out, but I'm really enjoying it this time.

 

Just beat Hyper Light Drifter. Man....what a ride. Absolutely shocked this game is getting almost no attention. One of the year's best for sure!

I'm really bothered by which coaster game to get. Like, I played the fuck out of RCT and RCT2. 3 was terrible.

Just played the first level of Guardian of Light. It was delightful. I might want to switch to controller, though. Some of the key combinations feel awkward. The problem with that is I'm using the controller on the downstairs computer to play FFXIII on the TV. Damn you, Square Enix.

 

ScreamRide seemed interesting for a modern take on Roller Coaster games

 

Thoughts after EGX...

GT Sport was much better than I thought it would be, still won't be getting it though unless it's cheap.
FH3 really disappointed me, won't be getting that unless it ever is free.
BF1 is still boring.
Gears of War 4 looks good, but not interested.
Mafia 3 actually looks really good and may have to get that.
Tekken whatevernumber is the same as the others, fun in small doses.
FIFA 17 looks good but I'm not buying it as I won't play it enough. Same with PES17.
Pro CS:GO players are insane. Stopped by to watch a few rounds of the semi-final, it's unreal what they do.
Destiny is still a thing?
There's a lot of really average indie games.
Surprised there wasn't more VR stuff.
Infinite Warfare is a an utter load of shit, like I could crap into my PS4 drive and produce a more fun game play experience.

CoD:MWR however... so good. Literally an HD version of CoD4, nothing more, and it plays exactly like I remember. Pre-ordering it as soon as I get a chance. So good.

Also Birmingham is crap.

 

Planet Coaster is the easy choice. Only worry is that Frontier have a bit of a dodgy track record (see Elite: Dangerous), but from what I've seen of the alpha/beta it looks good. The Cities: Skylines reboot of the genre, I guess.

if you wanna get technical, HR is a prequel and Mankind Divided is a direct sequel to HR, so "chronologically" in the timeline would be playing HR and then MD. (at least that's how I justified me playing HR without playing the original)

 

What's wrong with FH3?
It's tekken 7 :D I will be picking it up for sure. I played Tekken TT2 for a while.
I'm not sure I want to get BF1 until it's on sale like a year or two from now haha. I'm still enjoying BF4.
Yep Destiny is still going and I've actually seen more people take interest in it recently. I actually much prefer The Division (for some reason people compare the two).
Never really cared about Call of Duty.
I just got Fifa 16 last week when it was on sale @ Best Buy for $10, so I probably won't be picking up a new Fifa for a long time.

 

FH3, idk, just felt like The Crew. Nothing amazing about it other than the graphics. It's not a game I'd want to buy.
