Fuck yes, one of my favorite anime of all time, and have heard great things about the VN. I'll probably buy this.

Alex Navarro over at Giantbomb did a NMS review, it's really good. The personal anecdotes shared make me really want to play this game at some point even if most of the actual game design seems flawed, recommended reading.

Yeah I was saying NMS is probably not as bad as the backlash from jaded people who let hype get to them is making it seem.

Nearing the end of I Am Setsuna and it has turned out to be pretty average and nothing special. Still enjoying it for the most part however. The world is snowy and thus makes sense that each section of the game continues that theme but they made it look too "samey".

Bound has turned out to be better than Abzu for me personally. Abzu tried to replicate Journey but doesn't have the same emotional depth. Bound succeeds more so in that department and also has more interesting gameplay.

 

Bound is crazy. Only an hour into it I'm curious how long it is.

 

Played a couple matches of the Titanfall 2 beta. I haven't played the first in a while but something seems a bit off and I'm not quite enjoying at much (immediately at least) as I did my time with the first game. We'll see how it goes with other modes/maps.

 

I love when people on my team who do worse than me try and send me messages calling me garbage in smite.

like seriously when I have 8 kills and 5 deaths and this person has 1 kill and 5 deaths they have no reason to talk.

Welcome to the wonderful world of online multiplayer!

 

I had a guy flaming me last night when I was the last guy alive in CS, dropped my weapons and ran around in circles until I died.

 

It's things like that that make me play online so infrequently. I'm not great at most multiplayer games, the last thing I need is getting torn into about it.

 

It doesn't bother me, I just give it back to the trolls, report and move on.

But I can see why it would be offputting enough to put off online games entirely for some and that's unfortunate. I try to be as friendly as possible online, have had too many good times to potentially ruin someone else's.

 

I just mute all forms of chat if I can. The last time I engaged with people as in TLOU multiplayer. The community wasn't that bad for a little while.

 

lightning has been telling me just to make it where people can't message me at all but I get humor in seeing people freak out over a game especially when it's just casual mode.

 

I just outright ignore it and report it if it becomes that big of an issue. I don't even give the satisfaction of responding to someone that is severely insecure.

One thing I like to do is direct them to post-game stats where the skill level speaks for itself.

 

it's also addicting and thus, can cause carpal tunnel (or make it worse if you already have it). i haven't played anything besides Hearthstone the past two days because i've felt pretty weak. besides, i need to continue DA Inquisition, FC Primal, FFX, and The Division. I haven't even started Quantum Break. I've made gaming in and of itself feel a bit overwhelming to me now.

 

Yeah I never respond. I just think it's better to set your privacy settings on most networks to friends only so trolls won't even be able to message in the first place. I also only engage in voice chat with friends/a party. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I don't go so far as to change my network settings, etc. I just don't feed into the hostility. Speaking of trolls: I can't wait until they all come out from under their rocks when Gears of War 4 comes out. That game is horrible for that type of behavior. But it doesn't keep me from loving every second of my experience.

Titanfall is so good, I hope more people get into this one and don't a abandon it so quickly like the first one.

 

I am not sure what you mean. The first one recieved very good reviews and people are still currently playing it.
