Just got a Platinum on Ratchet and Clank. The game was enjoyable the first play through and the graphics were pretty amazing but beyond that the game did not require a second or almost third full play through in order to level up the weapons, health etc. The gameplay was pretty repetitive, which is to be expected from a platformer, but it was nice being able to vary it up it with the different weapons. Don't even get me started about the "Death By Disco" trophy. Overall, I would give it a 3/5.

 

Battleborn is in the Humble 2K Bundle...

 

Really not surprised at all to be honest, that game went nowhere after release.

 

Really bummed for 2K, though. But I guess now's the time to get it, before they stop supporting it for good or something.

 

That 1 dollar + tier is pretty good

Have heard good things about the Darkness series, and I highly recommend Spec Ops: The Line.

 

Greatest game ever. Def buying it.

 

Portal 2 is somehow even better than the original. Of all the companies out there, Valve seems to be the best in terms of guiding the player through context clues. It never feels unfair or designed poorly.

 

If only they would get back to developing games like Half Life 3.

 

Too bad they don't make video games now.

 

omg so nostalgic now. i actually never finished a game prior to angel of darkness, i just played them. i found them too difficult back then. the old tomb raiders had some really fantastic puzzles.

 

Life is Strange putting the first episode out for free is a smart move, All episodic games should move to that down the line.

 

Pretty much all the Telltale games have done it (speaking of, Minecraft story mode Episode 1 is free right now), TWD season 1 was even free with GwG, along with Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 I believe.

@DarkHotline where am I supposed to use the dog whistle at in REmake? It said the second floor balcony so I assumed it was the balcony with the statue of a woman holding a blue jewel?

There's tons of items that I'm latching onto knowing I'll need them later. For example the wooden mount I assumed was for replacing the shotgun so it wouldn't trigger the trap. Nope.


Making good progress. Loving this game. I'm surprised how metroidvania it is so far.

 

On the topic of Battleborn - if anybody's played it, is it at least fun? That's all I honestly care about with this one, lol.

 

Monster Hunter Generations has consumed every moment I spend playing video games.

 

Magic Duels update: Just opened 28 packs of Eldritch Moon and holy shit there are so many fucking awesome cards in this set; with every pack I opened there was at least one card where I was like "whoa that's sick!" White looks so nice now; with so much sacrifice, white's the new black. That's not racist, is it?

 

I played an embarassing amount of Rayman Legends last night. What a great game.

 

Looking at a game called RimWorld (yes, that's the actual name and it made me chuckle). Has anyone played it here before? Still in the early access stage on Steam but was in Alpha for 2 year prior and it looks like a lot of fun.

 

Probably the most recent platformer to come out that I would consider a classic game in years to come.
