Honzo is so fun to play, but I'm awful at him.

Can't really remember Altair that much to be honest. I've always gotten the impression that the white people were the bad guys from 1 on. That's why I found it weird when they flipped the script in later games. I do agree with the sentiment of more non white protagonists.

There was a seemingly protagonist leak for the Watch Dog sequel and he wasn't white so hopefully Ubisoft will make their games more diverse.

Overwatch is SEVENTY euro. Ridiculous.

 

My favorite part of FC3 was your character getting upset in the beginning for killing somebody and then shortly later, that goes out the window with you killing everything in sight and it's never brought up again.

 

He did comment on it from time to time, I think, especially at the ending. FC4's protag barely spoke though :/

Same thing with Tomb Raider 2013

 

I don't remember if he did, it's been a bit since I've played it. Either way, it's pretty silly to ponder the gravity of you killing people in between raiding outposts and blowing people up.

I have no idea what frame rate means so don't know what that gripe is about.

 

Frame rate is the number of frames per second. The more frames, the better. 60 frames per second is smooth and buttery and feels nice and responsive. 30 is alright. Imagine a frame rate of 2 like I have in Fallout 4 DLC. For every second that passes, there are 2 still images displayed to the screen, which means it's like looking at a picture book.

 

The protagonists devolution to killing everything in sight is a central theme of FC3's story.

Basically what @Dirty Sanchez said. Any perceived slow down whole playing a game is a frame drop. These are usually really annoying in fast paced action games, especially ones like the games platinum makes so combat is less fluid and precise. I assume it will be a decent budget brawler, but remember that it's a very low budget licenced game, so there will be drawbacks compared to more polished experiences. It's also supposed to be super short too.

 

OOF, that's rough.

 

The Park and Firewatch both had terrible framerates, if you can recall that happening in those games (though I think Firewatch is fixed now)

 

Lol just got a play of the game where I died right off the bat. Thank god for turrets.

 

Also the Uncharted games are the worst when it comes to your character being against killing and shit during the cut scenes, then having you mass murder a bunch of henchmen that are following orders, then having Nate refuse to pull the trigger on the people giving the orders over and over and over

To be honest, FC3's story really isn't that great to begin with. It's like: You are dude bro. You and your dude bro friends are kidnapped by bad people. You fight bad people while becoming some kind of mystical dude bro with tattoos. Shit happens and then it ends at some point. If the game wasn't as fun as it was, I probably would've forgotten about it. FC4's story is kinda the same but better in my opinion, especially with having a great villain in Pagan Min.

 

I actually had a conversation with my buddy trying to figure out just how many people Nathan has killed over the course of the games. It has to be the population of a small town.

 

Vaas and Pagan Min are the best parts of those two games. They should just go all out and let you play as a bad guy in the next one.

 

Honestly I didn't notice or pay attention to it so I guess it doesn't really bother me.

 

I let Uncharted away with it because it's so on the nose, it knows how absurd the situations it puts Nate in are, as opposed Tomb Raider which played everything too straight.
