Can't even get past the first area in Bloodborne, feel like a complete idiot. Too many trash dudes by the bonfire

 

Dude, I cannot tell you how many times I've screamed at my TV over people spamming Support and Recon classes in Battlefield for not doing their job. Your job is to give me ammo and place spawn beacons, not to spam LMG's and C4 as Support or hide a mile away in a mountain as Recon.

 

It's tough. A coworker was stuck there for about two weeks until it clicked.

Take out the distance enemies first.

 

In 12 hours of playtime, won 51/100 matches in Overwatch, 27/48 with Mercy. That's 6hrs with Mercy, 2 with D.Va, and 1 with Mei, win rate above 50% for each. Still don't know if I'll make the purchase (yes, it is $40 on PC), but that was definitely a fun weekend and then some. Now to actually get some school work done.

edit: Funny thing, I get more kills using Mei or D.Va than I do with any of the Attack heroes. I always did suck at ADC in LoL.

The Russian Dwarf? Name begins with T I think? Man, he's easy to get kills with. Set your turret up in a decent spot, and I'd regularly get 15 Elimination streaks. Massively overpowered when defending points.

 

I'm like this with Dark Souls 3 at the moment. Can't get the whole run from the roof bonfire to the first boss at all.

 

Afterbirth isn't on PSN. wtf

 

They usually don't update their store until like 3pm EST or so. Try back then :'(

 

I'd love it if Blizzard could release a skin for D.va that mimics Asuka and her unit's color scheme from NGE. Not sure what kinda copyright/licensing issues they'd run into to have to do that though.

 

I would never play as anyone else if they did tbh.

Into all the new starters for probably the first time since Gold/Silver. Really hope they don't have ugly ass evolutions.

 

Honestly, i've never actually read a Stephen King novel so i wouldn't have picked up on any of that haha. While I am a pretty big horror fan, i've never delved into HP Lovecraft stuff either, but all of this is very interesting. Also like I said before I wasn't able to read alot of the collectibles unfortunately but i'm glad to know what some of it says now hah!

Yeah, I was definitely on edge expecting stuff from the Ferris Wheel but all you see is the tophat dude controlling the ride. I LOVED how cynical towards her son she became after that haha. As a new parent i've definitely had some of those thoughts even though mine is only 7 months old, obviously not to that extreme because clearly she has a mental illness and I don't(or DO I?!).

All the flashing lights on the roller coaster made it hard for me to try and figure out what exactly was going on. I didn't notice it at first but it scared me shitless when I figured out he was behind me and his hands were next to both sides of Lorraine throughout the whole thing, pretty fucking crazy!

That Chad part at the sideshow definitely got me, which I even knew it was coming because it's one of those common horror tropes, still got me haha! I did try to get past the tophat dude and he just rushes you back and tells you to go the other way, sooooo creepy! I think i was actually able to read that one and was like "WTF?!" that makes no fucking sense.

OH GOD! That House of Horrors, I totally knew what to expect with shit jumping out and such and I was just ready for it to be done and over with, I was like "Get me the fuck outta here, I know i'm towards the end let's go!!!" I wasn't able to play PT but I watched a playthrough and know what you mean. Yeah I kept looking at all the collectibles/pickups and noticed how the room and everything kept changing pretty insane.

I don't really remember much about the ending really except that I got the gist that her son was taken away from her? I'm not always the best at understanding vague meanings and stuff, I get distracted pretty easily and don't pick up on subtlety haha.

Edit: My only complaint about the story really is the presence of Chad itself. I understand that he's the one that essentially haunts the park but there's really no resolution outside of him scaring the shit outta you.

I had never heard of it until it came out on PSN, so it counts!

 

Honestly that part took me hours, there's no real "easing into" Bloodborne, it throws you right into the fire, so don't feel like an idiot when you're unable to progress. That's how the game is a lot of the time, you might not be "progressing" in the classical sense, but slowly but surely you feel yourself getting better, and you'll eventually get it. And when you finally do, it's the best feeling. The game beats you down only for you to eventually triumph.

 

I beat DS1 and 2 before playing Bloodborne and I still found the opening area really difficult.

 

Fair enough, definitely didn't have the same difficulty in Demons' Souls, thought that had a really good tutorial area, figured since Bloodborne wasn't a numbered entry it would be a good-entry point with a more well defined beginner section.

May have to put it down until after UC4 since it seems like it's a game you have to devote yourself too, putting it down for a week or so could be enough to cause one to get stuck and be forced to restart.
