I had tons of fun playing Battlefield 4 last night. They have one of the expansions for free in the store right now if you still have the game. Can't wait to play Battlefield 1.

 

Yeah the PC version of Overwatch is $40.

 

I went there and beat the Dragonrider. He fell off the platform before I could even fight him :/ but now the white knights in the area are hostile and are kicking my ass. I've moved on to No Mans Wharfs for now and its going ok.

 

did you get the ring that stops your health from falling too far?

 

not yet theres a god damn dragon there that I need to figure out how to take care of lol.

 

a dragon? I don't remember that, haha. It should be just before you go to the dragonrider. If you went the other way you will find a cathedral and there's another boss there too. Past the knights.

 

yeah the Scholar Of The First Sin edition added the dragon. I killed the other boss which has now made all the passive white knights super aggressive.

 

haha, damn. The next area pissed me off so much, the enemies kept fucking me up so fast.

 

its so brutal. its a good deal more difficult than DS1 but I'm still loving it.

 

those big monkey/spider things legitimately scared me because of how quickly they would murder me. Have you beat DS1 now?

 

yeah those things are fucking insane, I hate enemies that can apply a bleed effect. I havent yet only because I've been so wrapped up in DS2.

 

I'm considering getting a PS4, those of you that have it: do you like it? was it fairly easy to set up? I've seen them go for as low as $300 and that seems like a pretty decent bargain.

I've had it since Nov 2013. Still works like a charm, but I did have to put a 2TB hard drive in it. Since you install all games to the hard drive this generation, you run out of space fast.

If you don't get one by October, I would sell you mine for $200.

 

so i take it you can just buy harddrives separate and install them onto the PS4 yourself? if so will do. I'll let you know since I'm currently mulling over the pros and cons of getting one soon haha

 

Yeah, it's easy as can be. You just slide the top part off and then unscrew a few things. Very simple.

Though, I'd be keeping my 2TB hard drive and putting back the 500GB one


The reason I'm gonna sell my PS4 is because the new PS4 model, whatever they end up calling it, is coming this Fall and apparently the graphics card is around 2.3x the power of the current PS4 graphics card, with more ram open up for developers and the processor having an upclock. The new PS4 model will still play the same games as the original PS4, but it will have better settings/textures/performance/whatever the dev wants to do.

This alleged PS4 is still just a rumored thing, so if it turns out to be false, I won't be selling my PS4 haha.

 

I loooove it. As you know I'm a big Souls fan and Bloodborne is my favourite "Souls" game and probably my favourite game of the last 10 years. Plus it has a ton of amazing looking exclusives coming

 

yeah i didnt want to admit it, but the main reason id get a PS4 is for Bloodborne and DS3 haha. Bloodborne looks really cool with the Victorian/Gothic setting.

Btw have you seen Nioh? its been referred to as "Samurai Dark Souls" and it looks badass.

 

Bloodborne is literally worth the money alone, haha. It's perfect. My best friend got his PS4 pretty much for Bloodborne too, haha.

I have seen Nioh and it looks interesting, not sure how I feel about the fact that running out of stamina stuns you but I'll probably end up playing it at some point. I like samurai's.

 

yeah like, i havent had a playstation since PS2 so itd be nice to catch up on some of this gens Ps4 games in addition to Bloodborne which looks incredible on its own.

I watched a couple gameplay videos and it feels like a spiritual Souls game. I like the colored loot drops since I'm a big MMORPG fan, the no shields thing is going to be weird but the combat looks smooth. I love the idea of changing stances with a weapon and it doing different attacks. Wonder if there will be a multiplayer component.

 

I think BF4 is on sale for $10 right now on XB1. Is it worth picking up?

 

If you get one then I highly recommend picking up The Last of Us Remastered too. That was my favourite game in recent memory until Bloodborne, haha.

Yeah it definitely looks like it's taken a ton of influence from the Souls games. After you play Bloodborne you'll get used to having no shield, it's not as daunting as it sounds. I hardly even used mine in DS3, ha.

 

Yes. Hardline is also $10. Not worth that for Hardline. Maybe if they paid me $10.

yeah i was watching gameplay of Bloodborne and i was like "is that a fucking gun hes using? it is! i need this game" then immediately went to Steam hoping it would be there, only to be crushed by the weight of the words "Playstation 4 Exclusive"

 

a gun and a giant sawblade!! Honestly Bloodborne is everything I love about Dark Souls done even better with a Victorian/horror setting. It's so perfect, haha.

 

I was at Gamestop today and asked if they'd ever have VR demos/displays and the guy told me they were trying to figure it out due to health concerns because "everyone wearing it might spread ebola"
