Just struggled pretty big time with a Chapter 2 boss in Octopath, took me 3 tries, I have never had so much fun struggling with a Boss fight, this fucking game.

So, this site in particular is what got me on the hype train for NMS at release and it was...less than stellar (no pun intended.) I haven't really touched it since. With that being said, it seems like a lot of progress has been made and I think this update looks really magnificent. I'm really excited to give this a go again once the new features are implemented. Hoping it's better optimized on PC now!

I got NMS on release and actually quite enjoyed myself, such a good music and/or podcast chilling out game. But I'm happy to see it's still doing stuff and people are coming around on it.

 

I think the game is absolutely gorgeous, especially in 4K/HDR. It is ridiculous. But mechanically, my God is it not great. Shooting feels just off which is so disappointing as a fan of the Battlefield games and DICE. I feel like it's not actually fun to PLAY

Thankfully it's short. I've sunk 2-3 hours into it and I am more than halfway through story. 4-5 missions left, can't remember.

Had no idea there was a novel. Written by same guys?

 

Probably gonna dig up my 360 in the coming weeks so I can start a Red Dead replay before the fall

I don’t think so, but it’s better written and the story of the game is A LOT more interesting and makes more sense if you read the book. The audiobook version is cool because it has sound effects and the actress that plays the main character in the game also narrates the book.

 

Are you still down on the Lanes renovation? I was there a few weeks ago and thought the sound quality was a bit rough, but the atmosphere and diner were really nice.

Advice please!

I have an Xbox One and a PS4. Haven't touched the One in about a year. I had it mostly for exclusives...Gears, Halo, etc.

Should I sell it and use the money to buy a Switch? Or are there some exclusives coming out that may make be regret getting rid of it???

Unless you’re big into Forza or Halo I’d say sell. Switch is pretty great

I think either an Xbox One and a Switch or a PS4 and a Switch makes a lot more sense than a PS4 and an Xbox One, so yeah I’d sell it, unless you’re investing in Microsoft’s big (multiplayer) franchises.

 

Get a Switch.

 

Verdicts out. Xbox one is out. Switch is in.

 

Xbox One is literally useless and they are showing new Microsoft hardware next month, so I'd get rid of it. Switch and PS4 are really the only consoles you need anyway as almost anything on an X1 you can play on PC with a controller anyway.

Edit: Microsoft has clarified that they misspoke. No new hardware, just a new bundle and some surprises.
