i will absolutely be late to the party for next-gen. i have touched almost zero of this gen's classics, still have a lot of longevity to get out of the PS4

 

I don’t think Square is gonna wait for E3 to announce the KH3 release date. Their KH3 Premiere event seems more likely.

Regardless a mid November release date seems to be the rumor

Put out the 1&2 remasters this year, let 3 come out next year

 

The next gen will be almost exactly how consoles are now. They may change their services up but static consoles will have at least 1 more gen.

Imagine modular consoles where consumers can easily upgrade parts. So yes, basically more akin to PCs but built in a way that people with 0 tech savvy can upgrade.

I also expect backwards compatibility to be standard next gen unless MS backtracks on it.

 

At least they are calling it V and not IIIII

I worded this weird. I'm sure a streaming service will definitely become a thing as time goes on, but I was more meaning the need for upgrading to new consoles every few years is gonna go away. As someone already said, basically it'll be similar to PCs where you just upgrade certain parts of the console over the years instead of the whole thing.

Ehhhh, coupled with the news of Borderlands 3 not being at E3 I'm betting it's that, sadly. From the rumors we heard about the Bioshock project that came out last week or whenever it seemed like that game is still pretty far off, I doubt that was the game that Take Two previously said would be releasing next spring.

Not sure if anyone in here really cares for Call of Duty but a lot of signs pointing to them announcing their own Battle Royale in Black Ops 4 tomorrow at their premiere.

Gotcha, no worries, I just wasn't sure. I think I'd prefer upgrading parts for 1 core system rather than having to buy a whole new console every 5 or so years.

I'm crying right now. This is so sweet.

 

I'm really hoping for good things from this CoD reveal today, even though I know I probably shouldn't be. Black Ops 1 was the game that got me into the franchise, and I still have the most hours logged into that and Black Ops 2 than any of the other CoD games I've played.

 

I had no idea why they made that new gadget, then I saw that video and....yeah, mad props Microsoft. Thats amazing.

 

Hopefully Sony follows suit and comes up with a controller like that of their own. Everyone should be able to experience and enjoy video games, so anything that helps further that goal is a great thing.

 

Looks like we’re getting specialists again and a Battle Royale.

 

As long as the regular PVP is boots on the ground, I'll be happy. Not too concerned about Battle Royale, not really a fan of those games.
