I honestly am a little perplexed by Rage 2. Like it’s cool it’s getting a second chance with a sequel but I had no idea there was a want or desire for one.

I just finished playing Season 1 and Season 2 of Telltale's Batman and while it has some wonderful things about it, I always groaned and rolled my eyes really hard during episodes 4 & 5. They can never stick the landing. The choices are always obtuse and the story always breaks the suspension of disbelief so badly, even for a Batman story.

I get that it must be difficult making a branching/choose your own adventure game, but it just feels so forced.

 

I was thinking Bethesda might be angling to make it into a looter-shooter franchise they can turn into a live service like Destiny or The Division

 

Hyped for a potential fallout spinoff

 

I'm currently playing Dark Souls 2, I haven't played it since it was originally released. Wow this game is easy comapred to Bloodborne and Nioh lol

 

I actually thought Dark Souls 2 was the hardest of the entire franchise, including BB and DeS.

 

It was for me but I think that's because it was the first one I finished.

 

You and I have had this conversation before I think haha. I played it right after DS1 and still thought it was harder. It’s a tough one.

 

No spoilers, but I've just got to the area of God Of War with the dark elves. They can fuck right off. So annoying to fight.

 

Was the story for S2 better than S1?

I loved S1 and felt it could be longer. I just haven't played S2 yet.

I would say the story for S2 is better, but it left me feeling so trapped in their story and I was just waiting for moments where I could actually do something that mattered. It's ironic that a story with Batman made me feel so powerless. There's so many times where I was like "I'm goddamn Batman and I'm putting up with this crap?" and it just frustrated me. The decisions felt obtuse. The characters feel a lot more natural though. I did enjoy that.

The art is a lot better this time around.

 

Close to the end of Owl Boy. Really enjoyed it, for the most part.

 

The bosses are so much easier in DS2

I loved that game. I remember a specific Halo-themed night that was so much fun my friends and I.

Never played the first game because of how lackluster the general reception was, but there's a lot of potential in that IP that I really hope they were able to realize with this surprise sequel.
