One thing that sucks hard about AC Origins is that the codex is gone. It would have been so good in this game.

the smite world championship has actually been super terrible and I'm sad

it's also because this season meta sucks so hopefully the semi/final go good.

I'm super impressed with AC Origins. Exploring is ridiculously fun and I'm really into the story (though admittedly I wish we were playing as Aya, she's way more interesting.) The only hold back I had at first was I did not like that combat change but now that I'm actually starting to get good at it I've come around.

I also randomly picked up Odin Sphere and I know nothing about it except that it's always on lists for "best rpgs of all time"

I definitely prefer the new combat. The old system was far too easy.

Yeah the "counter" combat is far from the hardest thing in the world since you can almost always just push a button and not get hurt, but I love the rhythm of it. The good news is Shadow of Mordor is still doing the old combat style so I can just switch over to that when I feel like it (though so far nothing is pulling me away from Origins)

Ahhhh sorry, i get you now. Yeah, it could use some updates but the whole game is a step in the right direction.

As long as they keep making those bomb ass fight sticks, I’m fine with that.

For a lot of open world games I don't bother with side quests that sound like chores but I am going out of my way to do absolutely everything in Horizon. Absolutely loving this game. Definitely think I'm getting close to the end (I ended up playing Frozen Wilds before I beat the main story because I know it takes place before the ending), have about 45 hours logged so far

It wasn't easy to me because for some reason I'm bad at anything that resembles Batman combat. I like the new a lot more too. It's dumbed down Dark Souls, haha.

What are some good interactive drama/point and click adventure type games? Some that I’ve enjoyed are Heavy Rain, Life is Strange, The Wolf Among Us, and (currently) Until Dawn. What are some other games I might like?

I am willing to try Telltale’s Walking Dead games but I’ve never watched the show or read the comics so I’m also open to other suggestions.

You'll be fine with TWD it's completely separate.

Gone Home, Firewatch, Oxenfree may also be something you're interested in

No, though you can if you have access to them. Those games show their age though. You'll be fine just reading a summary or something but even that isn't really necessary.

On PS4, Full Throttle is a classic in genre and beautifully remastered.

Others - Thimbleweed Park, Broken Age, Agatha Christie's ABC Murders, Syberia III
