you know I complained about the evil with in 2 all week and how its too difficult and too much walking around; but after 8 hours in and 7 levels I find myself glued to it.

 

I'm finally playing Skyrim again

 

I'm not attacking your posts. I was sharing my opinion that Gone Home isn't that good and gave examples of better games in the same vein.

I think comparing walking sims is as valid as comparing any other medium or genre. These are still games in the end and I am comparing them as such.

 

Why exactly?

 

The main plot line is about the teenage sister realizing that she is a lesbian, develops a relationship with another girl, and then runs away with her. It also has a diary entry about sexy time with said girl that your character refuses to re-read.

Yeah I've played and understand the story I'm just trying to figure out why "straights" can't talk about it?

EA really are the worst.

I try to order TS4 + Cats and Dogs bundle w/ City Living. I try on multiple payment methods, both on the client and a browser, neither work. Even after having the ts4 trial version removed from my account. I cleared the cache, restarted my PC, logged out and back in. Nothing worked. I've been on support chat for an hour. They're like "wait some time and make purchase later" but the sale is over in 10 hrs and it's past midnight.

Speaking of E.A. I've been playing Battlefront 2 and it's a pretty good game. The progression is bad, but I'm one of the few people that doesn't really care about progression. Besides that, the multiplayer is very polished and fun in the usual DICE way.

The campaign comes with caveats. It's pretty cool if you 1. have read the well written prequel novel (because the actually quite rewarding character development will make hardly any sense otherwise, or at least be weirdly abrupt) and 2. can look past the parts where they force you to play as "hero characters". I know that's a lot and it's inexcusable really, but if that happens to apply to you it's a fun Star Wars ride.

Space combat is awesome, by the way. Really fun.

So yeah, broken progression, hamstrung campaign, but pretty good regardless once you're actually playing it.

The menus are very slick too, but that's just something I always notice, haha.

I wonder if even Nintendo expected the Switch to do this well lol. So glad they managed to recover after the Wii U.
