GS is pretty notorious for getting not many changes per location and running out very quickly. Not sure why that's their business model but it must be somewhat successful

 

Microsoft Shifts to Make More of Its Own Video Game Software

Something to add to today’s “conversation”.

 

I lost all interest in Overwatch over time and it's because of the lootboxes. I like feeling progression in games and that did just not work for me.

 

Yooooooooo I just noticed that's for the States, no indication that Canadia will receive similar deals. Best Buy Canada can go fuck itself now.

 

I don't mean to be a downer, but Origins and Knight were not great. I mean, they're still about as good as Asylum, but City is just perfect. It's just a shame that the games that came after weren't, you know, more perfect. (Yeah, I know, Origins was a different studio. Still.)

edit: one example is how the games did boss fights. Fighting Mr. Freeze in City was awesome. Fighting Firefly in Origins was stunning, but it was mostly quicktime events. Knight relied too heavily on Batmobile combat.

All four are definitely worth playing, though.

So yeah, another MJR video but if you’re interested in 90’s gaming or stories about 90’s development studios, then this up your alley. This has some really neat insight to what it was like to work at a studio in the 90’s and they have some funny stories to boot.

 

The question here is really how many they shipped in the first place

 

Has there been any release date information for Pocket Camp yet in the US? Even a hinting?

 

Still debating whether to get a switch or not. Has anyone played the new Horizon expansion pack? Looks pretty cool.

 

I need to buy it, can’t beat paying $15 thanks to Plus.

I hope to get one around Christmas time, play some MK8 with my brothers as we loved playing MK on the Wii a lot. Hopefully should get Mario Odyssey and Zelda a little while after that and maybe even get Xenoblade Chronicles at some point too. The Switch is such a great concept and I really hope it sells well over the Christmas period

 

It probably will, it has been selling crazy well so far and Christmas will only amplify it

 

Yeah I still see a few cons with the switch but the pros definitely outweigh it imo, should definitely appeal to lots of people

 

The only con is what Zelda will do to your life.

 

I've never played a Zelda game before.. pls no h8

I love what I've seen of it so far, so I'll definitely be picking it up at some point. I'm glad companies are starting to get behind the Switch though

 

Yeah it's great to see. Especially after the Wii U did so badly.

 

Definitely. Being a Nintendo fan felt like being an underdog for many years in those dark times of Wii U. I'm still getting used to all this positive feedback from the internet.

I didn't even think Fire Emblem would be as big as it is now. Being a fan of FE pre-Awakening and post-Awakening was very, very different.

 

I’m scared Xenoblade is going to wreck me.
