Done with Wolfenstein 2 and enjoyed it a ton but I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did when the end credits song started playing.

 

i have the big dumb $150 monhun preordered, and i'm going to wind up preordering digitally as well and giving the disc to my roommate. i have a problem.

because monster hunter is my crack and i plan to force my roommate into enjoying it

 

they've fucked up a lot of things, but they've never fucked up monhun. sfv, mvc, etc were all clear disasters from miles away, whereas the hands on impressions for this one are glowing. i indeed have faith lol

 

Started playing Yooka Laylee last night. Game is a bit on the tough side at points. Not sure how long it will keep my interest.

 

ps4 presumably? how's it perform after all the patches?

 

so Extra Life this past weekend was a ton of fun—played a lot of games, but the highlight was probably finishing the marathon with a full five hour playthrough of Doki Doki Literature Club. if you have any interest in watching it, it's here in all its glory: Twitch

 

My roommate did Extra Life and offered to play any game for two hours to whomever donated the most. I donated $101 for him to play tic-tac-toe.

I'm not sure how different it was prior. Some of the platforming is super questionable. Damaging certain enemies is still a mystery to me. I feel like I'm constantly taking a lot of damage. There isn't a lot in terms of tutorial. Gaining all of these abilities over time is obnoxious.

 

yep, everything about MWH seems excellent so far, smart tweaks to make it friendly but in no way abandoning the things that the hardcore MH fans come to the series for. there's no real reason to worry yet (unlike as you mentioned, SFV, where the lack of content was apparent early on or MvCI which just looked like garbage almost instantly). the only major mishandling of MH was ignoring XX for the west but i don't care about not getting an expanded version of a game i've already played to death if we have a brand spankin' new MH on the way anyway.

 

the dude at my lgs who is there 85% of the time played the demo at nycc, said it was incredible, and he's a series purist.

i've never been into destiny or overwatch or any mmo's so this is like the first ever big online social game that i'm set up to enjoy, v excited

 

It looks fucking amazing. I'm pre-ordering it for sure

 

FINALLY got the Switch, Zelda is just as good as everyone said it was, and I’ve never liked a Zelda game before this one
