Holy shit all of Neogaf is on revolt right now!

 

Is this actually a thing? It's been a very long time since I've googled cheat codes, so the joke may be going right over my head.

 

Well, it’s not that you pay for “cheat codes” necessarily, but think about how when games come out they release a standard edition, a gold edition, an ultimate edition etc. Then you have loot boxes which is another form of monetization within games. It’s just silly when you think about the fact that a lot of people can only afford to buy the game (which is already expensive) and then someone out there is gonna be better than them, not because they have more skill, but because they have more expendable income.

 

Ahhh I see. Makes total sense the way you worded it. Finally, a meme smarter than I.

 

The actual reason that the more wacky types of cheat codes have all but dissapeared is that game development has gotten so complex and finished games so fragile that introducing even a little mayhem is too dangerous. GTA is an exception, because they have money and time.

He liked Syndicate the most and thinks this is better than that (huh).

I'll pick it up on sale, I really just need to go through my backlog >_<

 

Playing that and Wolfenstein all Friday evening.

 

I'll be playing Mario all day Friday and I can't wait.

 

I hope ResetERA is actually going to be a decent replacement for NeoGAF.

I'm having withdrawals from some of the great personalities (even if many have dwindled away the past few years) and OTs.

 

I hardly ever went on that site anyway, usually only around E3 time or if I was super hyped for a specific game.

 

I'm so ready for Mario, life is so stressful right now, I can't wait to escape into a Mario game

except when i break every once in a while to watch an episode of stranger things

or throw on julien baker

and hell, i'm still not entirely sure i won't end up buying wolfenstein 2 friday as well

 

I’m taking a break from video games this weekend for music festival so that’ll be nice.

I am just starting up Costume Quest 2 also.

Slowly and surely making my way through FFXV. I’m on chapter 8 (I think?) and trying to do as many side quests as possible to level up, since I read here you can get pretty wrecked if you aren’t at a high enough level later in the game haha

this too. It's a shambles. They've spent days now arguing over a logo and other mundane things rather than get it up early and fast and work that out eventually. they've lost their shot.
