Xbox sent me this survey a few months ago about my video gaming habbits and the majority of the questions were about how and why I use and like the Nintendo Switch, going into details like battery life and so on. It doesn't mean anything beyond the obvious fact that they're always thinking about every possible type of new hardware but it's still interesting, especially now that Micrsoft has entered this UWP/Play-Anywhere age in which their games are supposed to scale depending on what hardware you use to play them.

 

Wouldn't be shocked to see an Xbox Surface.

 

I'm thinking depending on how their new strategy plays out I could see them basically trying to squeeze a base Xbox One into a Surface. I'd buy it because handhelds are the best.

 

Yeah I meant something along those lines. Forgot to write Xbox lol.

I wish I had more use cases for handhelds tbh. I always buy them, and always just use them in my house where I could use a TV.

Though recently I've shied away from consoles and I'm just using my PC and Switch. PS4 is for exclusives and Xbox for Halo/EA games.

 

South Park TFBW is so much fun rn. About an hour or so in and it feels similar but the menus feel so much smoother and more refined than TSOT.

By the way, this might be insane, but I think the shift to GaaS (games as a service) that EA is going through makes me think a Skate is actually slightly more likely, though still unlikely.

would it be appropriate to post about extra life here? My entire company is participating this year (with me organizing it for my entire office) and ill be live streaming the whole thing on nov 4th. My goal is too speed run through multiple resident evil games + lots of Mario Odyssey (and other fun activities, like inner office game tournaments). I just feel super weird posting my pledge page places (and asking for donations) so want to see if thats ok before doing so. Not even sure if people here would be interested in watching me lose my sanity at 4am while playing resident evil on no sleep lol.

 

For sure - it's a good cause so I'd say go for it.

hey so here is my pledge page. For those who don't know, Extra Life is an event in which thousands of people globally play video games for 24 hours straight in order to raise money for charity. All proceeds towards me are going to the Sick Kids here in Toronto, Ontario.

My company has about 50 people participating across our two offices , which is really cool. For the most part, everyone is going to be twitch streaming from their personal accounts but we will also have a company wide twitch channel going the whole time streaming some fun activities from our lounges (tournaments, board games, group streams, secret hitler,etc). Ill try and post the streams here on Nov 4th for those interested.

Personally like i said above ill be going through as many Resident Evil games as i possibly can (will defiantly be speed running 4 and 7) along side some Mario Odyssey and most likely a Dota 2 stream soundtracked by my favourite emo releases this year.

Thanks for letting me post this here, its all for a great cause, and i am really excited for the event :)

 

Easily in my top 5 Gamecube games. Replayability is poor, but when it first came out I was in love with it. Great memories.

 

So excited for that new Shin Megami Tensei game. It will give me another reason to turn on my Switch.

 

Watched some intro levels of origins. Looks great!
