Anything I sign up for online I should be able to change or cancel online

Love that I work an 8-5 and am expected to call companies from 9-5 and then be put on hold for 1000 years. When am I supposed to have time to do that??

I had to pay a bill recently and there wasn't even an online option! I either had to mail a payment or call them during the very specific times they were open which was also my work hours. I'm lucky in that sometimes my job has flexibility depending on the day, but it doesn't always and it's a giant pain.

I've been on hold for 15 minutes trying to get hold of a company which isn't a crazy long time except it is when I'm trying to like... do my job also.

Edit: was on hold for 28 minutes for something that took under 3 minutes

 

Another dumb fuck decided to speed up when I was crossing the cross path. B looked right at me. I gave her the finger. Bc why do you put someone in danger bc ur impatient to wait 5 sec. I nearly shoved my cart into her car. But she looked violent. I mean if you’re going to speed up when someone is walking and you clearly saw them like you don’t care if you hit them. Yeah…

 

Adult frat boy that I work with blew up on me in a meeting after I had to correct him about something several times. Stops to the discussion to say "Why do you suck so bad?" in a meeting with other people lol.

I'm always amazed at what adults that have children have no problem saying and doing in front of other people. Anyway I told him to take his issue to HR so now I have a mess on my hands that ends up looking bad on me. good start to the week!

 

I have been in a never-ending process of attempting to build a house since spring of 2020. There have been multiple false starts, complete shut downs and what I thought was a definitive end to the chapter (buying a house in 2022), but some very significant, life altering events put it back on the table about...five months after buying the house.

Very cool, very exciting, very grateful that I've wound up in this position even though it took some real shitty things happening for it to occur.

With that said, finding/securing a contractor who (1) understands what you're looking for, (2) isn't attempting to overcharge, (3) actually returns calls, (4) knows how to communicate like an adult is seemingly IMPOSSIBLE. A never-ending shit storm of miscommunication, missed deadlines, bad business and unprofessionalism.

 

I can’t fucking pay my bills. I don’t make enough.

 

I was homeless for over a decade due to drug and alcohol problems. Now I'm clean and on public housing and going back to school this semester with financial aid. Financial aid didn't give me funds for transportation or my textbooks until two weeks after classes started. Because of this, I'm behind in all my classes. All my professors have been super understanding, and I'm hoping I can still pull through without having to drop any classes. Shits been rough but I'm trying to stay positive.

I'm currently in this "everyone needs to be nicer to each other and we all need to chill" mode. Take that for whatever it's worth but I was listening to political news in the car and some republican idiot was yelling about how unfair trumps trial is and how its just a political scheme and all I'm thinking is.....man, who cares.

People who devote their whole lives and identity in supporting trump...God that's just so sad. I'm not even talking about people who like him or will vote for him, I'm talking about the lunatics that make their entire existence about him, his rallies, put flags on their lawn and cars and post stuff about him non stop. Why? Out of all of the things in this world, why devote your life to this old feeble psychotic old billionaire who obvuoussssssly doesn't care about anyone?? I mean he WAS president already and did he bring all of your dreams come true? Obviously not. What great good for you will he really do? Why do you think him being president is going to make your life that much better?



Idk. Its just sad the more I think about it. People need hobbies but out of all your options out there....

People I work with. If not all, most of them vote red and some are hard core Trump cult follows chanting “let’s go Brandon” and “big daddy Trump”, attending one of his rallies and decked out in maga gear *vomit emoji xInfinity* (at least the ones that make it known)
What boggles my mind is how they’ll complain how Biden is “too old” to be in office (agree as well with all of congress), yet their cult leader is near the same age. Like what? They’re the most hypocritical and angry people. Remember when they called Hillary a “criminal”. Their own cult leader is a criminal and they don’t bat an eye. They still worship him like he’s god.

 

I spent $50 and pre-ordered a valentines cake weeks ago from a local bakery that is closing down soon so not many more opportunities to order from them. I had to pick it up by a certain time so I put it in a work fridge for 3 hours until I got off work and someone literally stole it. It was in a cake box with a window in it and my name written on the box so it wouldn't be confused with anyone else's. I already had such a hard day at work and that was the last thing I needed and I just cried. It's one thing to suck and steal someone's can of coke from the fridge or something, but I feel like that's a real "fuck you in particular" move like you legit know you're actively ruining someone's day.

 

Stealing an entire cake is insane behavior

 

Seriously. I would freak the freak out if that happened. Search for security tapes and interrogate everyone who had access to that cake

I was taking Latuda for about a week after I asked my psychiatric nurse practitioner if she knew of anything similar to Abilify (the previous med I was on) that wouldn't cause as much weight gain or at least be less likely to. It worked great for the first couple days and then it brought back my insomnia to a ridiculous degree. Not only that, I'd also wake up in the middle of the night when I did get sleep with my feet feeling completely numb and then it'd be pretty much impossible to fall back asleep when that happened. Needless to say, I'm not taking that shit anymore. I went back to the Abilify and my sleep instantly was better. Like, I'd rather put on a few pounds than have to deal with 3+ nights straight of insomnia.

 

Guy at work just told me we are a capitalist-socialist country here in the USA. Basically said all gov spending is socialism, and that the gov bailing out businesses is socialism.

I said he fundamentally does not understand what socialism is. Those economic systems are incompatible with one another, and that he’s referring to social programs under capitalism, not socialism.

 

I genuinely hate most humans.

 

Someone fucking scraped my car. It looks like it got scraped with something while they were squeezing by it? I’m sus about the people that parked next to me bc I was walking to my car the other day and it was this teen looking girl and mom and told her mom she (the mom) couldn’t park. Then the girl said “I’ll tell you in a sec” like she didn’t want me to hear. They always be squeezing by my car for no reason.

I don’t even know for sure if it’s them. It was just really odd behavior. Plus I’ve seen different people drive that car and even with kids. I’m going to ask my friend if her dad can buff it out next time I visit

 

Thankfully buffing can do wonders and if you know people that know cars they can usually figure out something.

I hope it all works out for you, but I do hate how disrespectful people are to other people's stuff

 

Yeah her dad knows cars. I’d even buy the stuff. I have a rinse-less/waterless wash to clean (of course I’d make sure my car is washed but to clean off dirt along the way)

I’m careful where I park too bc I know people are shit heads and don’t care about others property.

 

I wish companies would update sick leave/work from home policies to reflect having JUST come out of a pandemic. Today is day 6 of being sick, I’m out of leave and in the office though I shouldn’t be because I need to be paid but onsite is required even though I absolutely don’t need to be onsite for my job…just leads to perpetual illnesses floating around the building cause the company gives you like 3 hours of leave per pay period lol

 

Corporations suck

 

I am very lucky to have the super I have. Because we don't abuse it, he is usually happy to let us work from home while sick, provided we're feeling up to it.

 

We've been planning an F1 watch party for nearly a month and invited about 15 people, all who said they were coming. We're an hour away and it's literally one person still coming (who doesn't even watch F1 but wants to see us). Everyone else bailed either last night or this morning. A few had decent excuses, but everyone else just decided not to come. Soooo I'll be bringing quite a bit of unopened food to the food pantry this evening.

We need new friends.

 

I’ve vented about this a million times so you’d think I’d just be used to it by now and not get upset but here we are again. Once again I’m getting treated vastly different from my brother and I’m so sick of it. I never ask my dad for anything bc after 33 years, I know by now it’s pointless. But I have had nothing but issues with my bathroom sink and have had to put so much money into it and it was still leaking. All I wanted was my dad to stop over after work (his work is maybe 15 mins away) and see if he could please look at it bc a plumber is very expensive. Of course he’s always just too busy!! But the second something is wrong with my brother’s four wheeler, he’s going over there and fixing it for him. Everyone spoils my brother and they always have. He’s almost 38, has never had a job and claims to be a stay at home dad but all he does is play video games all day and everyone enables his shit and acts like he can do no wrong. And here I am busting my ass off, doing everything on my own and can’t get help with one single thing. It’s just so upsetting to always feel like I have absolutely no one to rely on.
