You are not out of line - tell your roommate that she can have an opinion on your lifestyle and habits when she pays rent and contributes to the equation. You've been respectful, and both he and his girlfriend have not. Personally I'd have blown a gasket before she made it to 13 days.

Practice gratitude - the likelihood of any of us being born at all is so slim, and the time we have to bring happiness to one another so short, it can't be wasted. There are people lying in hospital beds and gutters who would be overjoyed to breathe with my lungs and enjoy my full stomach, how can I complain about what doesn't go right? You're in control, and you're responsible for your own fulfillment - own it, and then get out of bed and chase it. It's hard work, and it's worth it.

 

The fact that lemonade renters insurance charges me far more than the “$5” they advertise. I understand it starts at 5, but I’m not adding anything on.

 

The communal laundry is somehow locked and my key isn’t working. Apparently the office is closed Because I tried calling them and no one answered. I guess they’re closed again on Sunday’s? They use to be open. Now I have to walk all the way across the complex to the other communal laundry, which had fewer units with a heavy basket

 

I also want to add that i wish apt complexes would give some sort of discount for the work out room and pool/spa you can’t use because of the pandemic. Part of our rent goes for those amenities. So we can’t use them, I don’t want to pay for it

 

Bumble is making me pick a cause. I forgot they did that. I use to be able to skip it.

 

Filing for unemployment is a jooooookeeeee. I tried to make an account online but got an error. Now when I try to make an account again it says I already have an account and need to use my pin to log in. I never got a pin. So I select forgot my pin. It takes me to an online chat where I have to answer all these questions only for it to tell me they can't help me reset my pin and to call a number. I call the number. Get an automated system. Answer the same questions. We can't help you. We're transferring you to a representative. We're sorry all representatives are busy, try calling again later. Rinse and repeat all day and still can't get through to an actual person!!!

 

I filed our tax refund on 1/31 and still haven’t received it. There was an error on a form that I was finally able to get corrected in July. Anytime I call they tell me everything is fine and it will show up. I check the status through the app almost every day. I feel insane

 

The local paper printed the wrong sale ad for the grocery store I work at. So I got screamed at all day by customers, cussed at, called stupid etc. It is not my fault the butter you bought isn’t actually on sale!! Stop screaming at me over 50 cents!!!!!

 

Um, excuse me, but I ONLY shopped here today because this paper said butter was on sale. Seems like false advertising—that’s rather poor customer service, don’t you think? What’s your name? Let me speak to your manager. I want the sale price as printed, and also to be compensated for the inconvenience, and I don’t know if I‘ll feel comfortable ever shopping here again. I’m going to post about this on social media.

 

This is exactly what it was like allllll day lmao I was so happy today was my short day but the new sales don’t start until Thursday so I’m sure I’ll be hearing it all week!

 

Completely anecdotal, but I know someone who was in the same situation and just got a refund late last week.

 

We actually got it finally about 2 weeks after I posted that.

When I wake up in the middle of the night and my brain decides I only needed two hours of sleep and so I stay awake, only to get sleepy again right before my alarm goes off

 

My life would be so much easier at work if they would just update stuff. My register crashes at least 3 times in a 6-hour shift. The credit card reader crashes multiple times every hour. Customers are just constantly yelling at me bc they go to put in their credit card and it ends up taking 10 minutes and multiple attempts just to get the machine to finally read the card. And everything is way more complicated than it needs to be. It's so frustrating. Plus for some reason if you want to write a check, you have to have a store account number which most people do not know. Most are older people so they don't always have a credit card or something else to use when they can't write their check. Then we just have to say sorry, even though you have money clearly in your checking account, we can't let you use it and now we gotta put all your groceries back and you gotta go to another store. It makes absolutely no sense. And they can only set up an account # when the owner is there so basically NEVER.

 

As someone on the spectrum, I really hate how autism is portrayed in most popular media. It gives people this idea that we're all completely helpless and need to be treated with kid gloves and it's infuriating.

 

I just keep whining about my job but ughhhhh When they hired me they told me I'd be working at like 8 or 9 am and would only have to work closing shifts if someone called off basically. That's how it's been so far and it's the only positive thing about the job. Well they had an old cashier who decided she wanted to come back but she has another part time job and can only work in the mornings so guess who now is working almost all closing shifts!!!! I'm fucking pisssssed. I also was told I'd basically have weekends off, now I'm getting scheduled for weekends. I really hope I find another job soon bc I seriously hate this shit.

 

I fucking hate where I live. Basically all Trump loving assholes. Ever since it was official that Biden won, the amount of customers we get that aren’t wearing masks has at least quadrupled. They all say COVID is just political and a hoax so they aren’t wearing them anymore since it’s obviously going to go away now that Biden won. I’m not allowed to say anything or ask them to leave or put on a mask either. My boss doesn’t even want to have signs up telling people to wear masks and the only reason we have them up is bc we have to. Our numbers keep going up. It’s also even more infuriating bc it’s basically all old people that shop at our store and a lot are rightfully scared and these assholes just don’t care. It is so hard to bite my tongue and not cuss these assholes out.

 

I have the most annoying as fuck neighbors that live behind me. ALWAYS blasting their shit music. I shouldn’t be able to hear it the way I do. I hate the location of my building. People blast their shit music from their cars. It’s all the same music too on both ends.

 

Currently freaking the fuck out. My fiancé has been having horrible luck with dental issues with no insurance.

A tooth broke two weeks ago and she needed antibiotics and had it pulled. That was about $500 total combined with the exam.

Now, an old root canal of hers failed and caved in on itself. Also infected, getting more antibiotics and pain pills. They want over $3K to fix the root canal and cap it. At a loss on what to do. I have a dental plan and could try getting her on as a domestic partner, but my max coverage is only $2k after the first $200 spent, so we'd still need to go out of pocket by about $1300, and it could force her to lose her Medicaid (something she desperately needs) if the state sees us as interdependent. And it seems like state medicaid doesn't support dental care unless you're a child.

Fuck.

 

Can you shop around for different dentists? I've found the rates can differ wildly.

 

Now that we know the issue, we might call around. From googling, it seems like the cost is smack dab in the middle of the average price range, so they don't seem to be straight up screwing us over, but I agree this is still a good idea.

We called like 10 dentists today and none of them would see her until she gave this one a bad review for dodging our calls since Friday. They called within a half hour of the review hah. Even the local emergency dentist is apparently closed Saturdays through Mondays

My heart is broken for her, I've never seen her in so much pain. I've lent her a sleeping pill and she still couldn't sleep from the pain.

Sorry to hear dude. Maybe try to see if there is any dental schools around you. I heard they are more affordable since they're basically still in training. I have no experience doing this but just something I've heard before.
