His episode is great. The UK and German versions were my favorite by far. France is the only one I don’t plan to rewatch.

and how much I loved his work on The Wire


so then I thought to myself, "let me look this guy up and see what else he's been in" and then checked out his IMDB page, where the third picture of his is this one:



so then I thought " I gotta see some of this show", which led me to this clip:

Good to know. Is the France one bad from a quality perspective or just not an easy watch?

 

Kind of both in my opinion. The first episode is really tough and when I watched it struck me as a strange story to want to tell. One other episode used some tropes that I’m not a big fan of as well, and I didn’t find the detective characters as compelling in that version. It’s probably still worth a watch to get the full picture of what the series is about, but by far my least favorite.
