I guess I know the truth is that I would feel uncomfortable with it but I also know if they were being reassuring that there was nothing going on on their end, I know they healthy thing to do is to trust them

well, for one thing she was polyamorous for a long time before she and I got together and tonight's issue was more about her asking if she could hang out with someone who sexually assaulted her and her telling me he's changed

 

We used to do that at camp, it was amazing. Pancake mix for the batter and just make them at weekly cookouts for a treat, mmmmmmm. Haven’t thought about that particular dish in years.

There are 2 things in life that I love the most: Clue and S'mores.

For years that's all I would get for Christmas from my Dad and Stepmom. You could say I'm a bit of a collector of both

 

now I'm sad that there probably isn't a Garfield smores maker

 

this is soo much to unpack. the first point to me sounds like a more valid reason to be wary of trusting that

I’m saying the next part as someone who actively also hangs out with someone like that. And I can tell you I would tell my boyfriend to kick rocks if he felt some type of way about it. I understand where your concern is coming from but that really is something you have to step back and trust her and let her take the reigns on. People heal and recover in their own ways. I’m NOT saying that my situation is the same as hers and everything will be peachy, I’m merely offering my unique perspective as someone who has been in that situation.

that's why I wasn't unkind about it. but if anyone were to tell me I'm wrong to feel the way I do, I would have to disagree. just trying to be as understanding as possible while also trying to keep her safe and not be made a fool of. I get what you're saying tho and that's why I'm not even mad about it, just wary

And yeah that situation sounds very complicated and challenging and not really something easily figured out by chatting online. To me it does sound more like a person who is working through their own experiences and pain and trying to navigate that and not necessarily a case of trying to be shady or hurtful.

But it doesn’t have to be closure. Like, the person I’m referring to is one of my closest friends. It’s not up to my partner to understand that. It’s up to them to respect it and trust me.
