2 weeks ago my job was like lol guess what our answering service isn't working so you're getting a work phone and now you have to field all the calls that come into the office and send an email with their information to whoever they were trying to contact

Just got a call and apparently someone in TX got a check from my company saying they won a publishers clearing house award, obviously a scam but which of you was it @dadbolt @ChaseTx etc

helllll no they already reduced our work week to 30 hours, I'm only answering calls M-F, 9-3. Would like all my hours back but am also enjoying working with no pants on so idk it's a trade off I guess

Was a lot easier to sleep in when I didn't have to answer calls though

lol my work did the opposite they kept us working 40+ hours but changed the amount that theyre paying us to to reflect like 30-32 hours

to be completely honest, i have no idea really. i'm a salaried employee, and i sign a new contract every year, so i don't actually know if what they're doing is strictly legal but, what i am sure of is that if i decide to fight it or take action against it i surely will no longer have said employment contract. i am definitely over a barrel here. fortunately the pay cut has not really hit us too too hard.

I'm sorry man that sucks. Especially since even if you wanted to find new employment well...the job market looks bleak right now. That seems super fucked up.

I’ll tell you what it sucked not rolling out of bed to roll out to the couch and have my laptop setup. Having to put clothes on and drive 40 minutes to work this morning was rough
