the problem with bars is that people linger and are gonna be hanging with their friends

but yeah everywhere is scary someone took of their mask at Walgreen's to talk to the cashier grr

 

lol wut? Why? I feel like there’s no way for bars to truly implement that while on the other hand grocery stores you’re not getting close to someone really and you all have carts to separate you lol

also like in Florida once the bar opened up even at a small capacity, people lined up down the whole block with no space whatsoever waiting to get in lmao

 

yeah people shouldn't be meeting with friends at bars, it should be limited to smaller groups of ideally people who live together

But my neighbor has been having a lot of people over to their apartment so obviously they aren't properly distancing

they're spacing out tables, limiting capacity, and requiring masks anytime you get up

Grocery stores aren't requiring masks at all and you can't shop while staying 6 feet away from people. Bars are much safer

I haven't been to one personally but I thought about going for a drink last week

 

oh every place requires masks here, you should absolutely need them at the grocery store haha

 

in NYS masks are required everywhere now so thats not really an issue but, yeah, i feel like grocery stores have returned to the relative free for all they once were, people will like, social distance on the check out lines because theyre made to, but anywhere else around the stores people arent really (from my experience) actively trying to keep distance.

i'm way more confident in a smaller bar or brewery's ability to monitor capacity, limit groups to small tables, and make sure the actual bar only has a few people at a time than i am in a grocery store's ability to constantly monitor all it's patrons at once.

I just imagine people getting up and leaning against the bar and how many people will be touching it while they get their drinks and stuff.

if they only had waitresses then I could understand it

 

For the first month or two it seemed like half the people I saw at grocery stores were wearing masks, now it might be 3/4

 

Also I guess I just go at slower times bc I haven’t had a problem staying away from people when I’m shopping for the most part. But that’s just where I’m at I guess

 

I think bar tops themselves are off limits, could be wrong

You never pick things up in the grocery store and put them back? I have to do that to check ingredients

 

It's pretty hard to shop for produce and not touch a few things that you don't end up purchasing.

Honestly I went and got take out from a restaurant the other day and you had to get it from the bar and there were so many people just leaning against it waiting for their drinks and I was like

no not really lol I usually am going with a list of things to get
