I like weddings for having an excuse to dress up, but most weddings disappoint me with food and music selection. One of the last ones I went to they took forever to cut the cake and once I got my piece I was outta there

 

I haven't been to a wedding as an adult, besides my cousin's. Byproduct of not knowing many people for a long period of time

 

I bet you look great in a suit I have no idea what you look like

 

I have one wedding shirt. It's blue. I've worn it to the last like 7 weddings I've been to.

 

I’m going to my buddy’s wedding in June. I don’t think he should be getting married cause he’s only 20, but I can’t wait to party.

Why are you friends with a 20 year old?

 

I wear suit pants, shirt, and tie every day, so it's nothing to me to just toss on a jacket. Plus, when I drink, I dance. I like a good wedding. Emphasis on good.

 

Only wedding I've really been to was my friend's and um no thanks lol I was a bridesmaid and that was a truly awful experience so I was already kinda salty towards the whole thing anyway. My dress was ugly. She purposely did my hair ugly bc she was mad at me bc I cut it. The food was meh. The music was shit. I knew nobody. Kept getting hit on by the creepy groomsmen. My friend was crying bc no one danced so I felt bad and danced the whole night awkwardly to the shitty music. IT WAS BAD.

 

I mean, he’s friends with me

 

Our music was on point, everyone was dancing having a good time. Our ceremony was super short (we both hate ceremonies so we wanted it short). I walked down the aisle to the National, she walked down to Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Our cocktail hour was stuff like Against Me, Gaslight Anthem, Midtown, Future Islands, Passion Pit, Saves the Day, Phoenix, Taking Back Sunday, etc. The reception was just as good, but more generic party songs

 

I grew up with him. He is my best friend’s younger brother

I don't care for what's ever served there but it's so nice to get to wear a suit

 

Anyway we just went to a justice of the peace and then balled out with room service at a nice hotel

 

I hate wearing suits, I find them physically uncomfortable and emotionally they feel like a lie for me

 

Were you at my cousins wedding? She just did this.

 

My cousin got married two weeks ago and the main course of food was awful. Each table had 10 people, the food tasted like a dollar bag of fettuccini alfredo mixed with water and was enough to serve maybe three people max. No seconds. No bread. No sides. Everyone thought it was the appetizer. It was the main course. Served in one massive plastic container you had to scoop out of with your own fork.

And it cost $16 a fucking person for that "meal".

 

I went to 4 weddings last year. 3 were traditional Christian weddings with no booze/food and the other was a backwoods redneck wedding with an open bar and 100 pounds of smoked brisket.

Guess which was the fun one!

 

Redneck weddings are always my least favorite. A good Mexican wedding has it popping

 

Both my wife and I were raised in Christian homes. Her dad is super conservative, so our wedding was dry. Didn't stop the groomsmen from passing around the flask of Fireball prior to the ceremony of course..

 

Sometimes I wanna have a vegetarian wedding to annoy my family for always teasing me but I'd never. I'd get catering from El patio obv.

 

I think about Natalie Portman's vegan wedding randomly at times and it makes me kinda mad

 

I would love to try food at a vegan wedding and honestly if people can't handle one meat free meal like... Rly??? But I would want my guests to have fun and for them eating meat is part of that. They're so dramatic!! They'd just sneak it in anyway!!

 

I would just not have a meat. There's plenty of good food everyone will like without it

 

My family loves food and are obsessed with meat. Which is weird to me cause even before going veggie I never really cared or noticed if something had meat or not. But they'd give me a hard time the whole night and it's not worth it and I don't care enough to fight it
