You must fix your heart Supporter

They should have intermission showings for people who need to pee like they have audio descriptions and subtitle options.

I don't want intermissions wasting my time.

Intermissions will never happen because theaters couldn't squeeze 16 screenings into a day and it would cost them money

I'd be absolutely fine with more filmmakers making use of intermissions. Absolutely not on theaters doing them by themselves.

  5. The intermission isn’t just for the restroom. Refill your soda! Freshen up that popcorn! Answer that text message! Fart in the hallway!

MFers will watch Taylor Swift play 49 songs a night but say a 3 hour movie is too long

Intermissions are also just a good narrative tool, lol.

I just don't trust people enough to get back to their seats, sit down and shut the fuck up before the movie starts back up.

That is why longer blockbusters is so strange to me. It means you have to spend more time and money making them and also limiting showtimes.

I feel like talk of the theater experience really brings out the misanthropy in people these days.

Most people aren't ready for this yet but what they really need is those chutes that drive-through banks use that would let you order food and drinks. One for each seat.

  17. This feels like a good time to remind everyone that there’s an app called RunPee that lists the best times to go during pretty much all new movies - complete with a time stamp, maximum length of time you can be absent, the quote that occurs immediately before you should leave, and a brief synopsis of what is happening while you’re gone. It has saved my ass multiple times lol

I disagree with this. That would be lack of foresight on the theaters, not on the concept. There's always a potential to make money off of stuff like this. Concessions alone during intermissions would be great. A fifteen or even ten minute intermission could greatly increase the quality/comfort of watching a movie in a theater and it wouldn't have to be for every movie, just movies over a certain length or movies designed around it for theatrical runs.

So many people prefer watching movies at home not just because of cost but because they can pause, go to the bathroom, get snacks, send texts, etc. Why would movie theaters, an industry that's already dying, be against something that would ease their customers experiences and potentially lead to more sales?

I want theaters like in Japan with full shops that sell movie merchandise.
