I actually really like it. I was afraid it was going to be too “radio friendly” but this is fun. I can see this as the ‘No Frame’ of the new album.

    idk man

It's alright. Definitely heard worse from the band. The little refrain at the beginning of the song/after the chorus is weird as hell. Spencer sounds good on this one in particular, the last part is AWESOME. I'm interested in seeing what comes next if this is the first part of it.

Also maybe I've been using Photoshop too much but that new band font is definitely the Loathe font.

this song is groovy af. Love that they swung for the fences creatively and in structure because I’d much rather have them do this than try to thread the needle between heavier rock and pop rock. Synth line is great, both voices fit beautifully, fun cadence.

Breakdown needs some trademark Tim McTague guitar feedback. I sorely miss the more unconventional guitarwork from LITSOS and Disambig. Would’ve fit well here.

I kept waiting for the clean vocals/section to explode into a euphoric pop chorus like lifeline so I think that’s a missed opportunity, but the creativity and out-of-the-box-ness here is very much consistent with the underoath ethos. Hope we get the heavy on the rest of the record but I’m on board here.

  5. I’m into it, even though I feel like it’s missing something but it’s mostly due to the short length. I mean the TikTok clip pretty much gave it all away. Reminds me of how I felt listening to The Xcerts’ singles from the last album lol.

Don’t really get Erase Me vibes from this tbh

  6. Love the drumming on this. When I think about it, the second verse with Aaron’s fast paced drum beat does remind me of Sink With You.

im not referring to a specific comment or comparison but whenever a song is poppy it “sounds like erase me” and whenever a song is heavy it “sounds like define.” There’s never any nuance. It’s like every female fronted band sounding like paramore and every guitar+synth sounding like BMTH or linkin park.

Well I’m not getting Erase Me vibes either with this and I will say that the verses are pretty groovy so I dig that… but the song kind of meanders with nothing particularly memorable as an ending.

Feels half baked and a very strange pick for the first single?

Also; this looks to be the 7th track from the new record I’m assuming and the name of the new record is Locus Ultra? Judging this off the artwork.

  11. Surprised by the feedback on the song. I absolutely adore after a few plays. Super different for them, and very fun. I especially love Spencer’s vocals on the second part of his verses where he’s yelling a bit. Aaron’s drumming is great too. Definitely feels like an interlude style track at times, but this has me excited for the full release for sure.

  12. I actually really dig this, it's completely different but it's bizarre in a way that feels dangerous and fresh.

"With our new track ‘Teeth,’ we dove into a pretty exciting territory for me—something I’ve always wanted to explore with this band but never felt was possible. It almost has a vibe reminiscent of classic hip-hop samples or something that Linkin Park might have done, which I find so cool. I never imagined we’d actually pull it off in an Underoath song, but it came together so naturally." - Spencer

I like it enough, but I think it will take some time to grow on me more. I honestly like the electronic parts more than the heavier parts

Kinda hate how many bands in this genre have all gone the electronic route the last like decade lol. Songs okay I guess, not something I'm clamoring to hear again.

alright with a few plays in im sold. no frame was like their version of a NIN song and this one is their take on a vibey sample song. they threaded the needle well. too much of anything on this song and it could have been really cheesy. i think the impact is a little less because house of protection just did an ep that is doing a similar thing in a very inventive way but if this means they are direct support on a tour in sold. hyped for this record. hope we don’t have to wait 6 months for it.

I was hesitant but I really love it after a few listens. I have a feeling this may be the only song on the album that sounds exactly like this, even if others might have the typical electronic elements. Sounds like they tried to pull this off for a song and it just happened to stick but not necessarily the sound of an album, like with Erase Me. Excited to hear what's next though!

I love the pop and electronic parts of this a lot. I think its super inspired and chill.

I actually only hate the heavy guitar parts which in comparison sounds phoned in and boring and uninspired. Its that modern big fashion coworker metalcore chord progression that's hyper accessible.

Wish it ended at 2 minutes.

it's definitely growing on me with more listens. i think my big critique is just how unorthodox the two different styles feel juxtaposed against one another, because on their own, the electronic and heavy elements work really well, but together it's a bit jarring. i'm sure that'll change over time. i'm curious to hear if the rest of the album takes these kinds of risks.

I liked this way more than expected. The drumming and bass work is extremely groovy. Like the vibe of the song and how it feels like Underoath, somehow, despite being very different.
