congrats @Aaron Mook for the first review that wasn't "recommended" or "highly recommended" in the eight month lifespan of this website, lol

 

I enjoyed that first record so much. Sadly couldn't get into this one at all after a listen through.

 

very much agreed on the last two saves the day albums, some of the best material they've ever written. this new two tongues album can't hold a candle to them.

 

My vinyl preorder came in this week and I just gave it a spin. I don't know if it's because I've been on a I Don't Think It Is kick lately so I'm better adjusted to this production "style" ("shitshow"?) or if this just sounded better on vinyl to me, but I really enjoyed this listen. Definitely questionable choices all around, but I think there's also some really solid songwriting going on in some parts.
