I’m having flashbacks to the lead up to Brand New dropping an album.

TWP certainly has the presence in the industry to pull it off.

 

They should know that FBR loves the build-up and would never drop an album without the preorders and promos.

 

I would expect to hear something from them in the next few weeks, regardless if anything weird is going on with their Twitter pages. Next month will mark 3 years since Blurryface was released, so I'd definitely expect a late Spring/Summer release from them.

Wow you weren’t kidding

 

Blurryface had such a weird arc because it was released in May of 2015, but the majority of its sales were in 2016 (despite debuting at No. 1 in 2015). Stressed Out was originally released a promotional single in April, but didn't go to Top 40 and become a huge hit until like November or December. The Grammy wins weren't until 2017 (despite everything being eligible for 2016).

 

They are coming back sometime this month/next month however all these theories are seriously insane

The subreddit is driving me nuts lately.

Josh was photographed in public a few times recently. Longer, dark scraggly hair, looking kinda like a homeless person (or rather, a drummer who has had the longest period of time off in 6 years). Definitely not like you've just taken promo photos or filmed a music video to support the launch of a new album.

I feel confident they'll be back this year, I think we still have a little time to go though.

 

I dislike the fandom that has developed around this band. I loved when I discovered them and could go their shows for $5. The insane overexposure of virtually every song on blurryface made me hate that album.

Vessel fo lyfe tho.

 

I miss going down to Akron and watching them play at a dive bar for $10 in front of 150 people

 

Agree about the fandom and agree about Vessel. But I don’t understand why an album/song’s overexposure makes people dislike it? The amount of exposure Blurryface got was so cool. I mean, they became the first artist ever to have every song certified gold which is freakin awesome, especially in a music culture that really doesn’t think much of full albums anymore.

I saw TOP at Perth Arena last year...the girl in front of me was trawling through Spotify during the set to figure out what song they were playing hahaha.

Roughly a year before that, i saw them at The Astor which holds around 800(?) people and I still think about how amazing that gig was a lot.

 

I mean it’s great for them and I’m happy they’re getting success. But I just meant that I got sick of hearing those songs cause they were ALWAYS on the radio. It gets old.

 

See, I hear that a lot too and then I think to myself, “Why are people still listening to the radio when Spotify exists???” Hahaha. I never listen to the radio. I’ve got enough good music in my life that I can listen to at will without resorting to something I have no control over that may or may not play a terrible song. But I hear you. I’ve still heard “Stressed Out” and “Ride” in public a bunch.

 

Oh I would never willingly choose the radio but I’m forced to be around it enough. Family, other peoples cars, work, etc.

Twitter/Reddit is going crazy again. Looks like it has some bit of validity to it, but I'm still not holding my breath. After months of ridiculous theories and things, I really hope that's now exactly how they're gonna come back (sending people on a wild goose chase of weird clues on the internet).

Either way, if they ARE coming back, then I'm so happy. It's been a while.
