All the bands recommended are killer, but Gulch and Harms Way though from the same scene, don't really sound that much like Turnstile.

Fiddlehead is closer. I'd say Higher Power and Absence of Mine are the most similiar.

Nobody mentioning Nil smh. Obviously not as heavy, but still it’s their year.

I saw the Green Day / FOB / Weezer tour last night so my friends were playing a ton of scene-type music on the drive there and back. I snuck in Turnstile and Dirty Nil into the playlist and both fit perfectly without anyone batting an eye

No shit, turnstile have their own sound and style lol there’s hardly any bands that sound exactly like them and the OP just said they don’t pay attention to heavy music, so we’re just naming heavy bands in the same genre, that’s kind of how this sort of thing works. I believe the phrase used was “scratch a similar itch” not “sounds exactly like turnstile.” Harms way, the band I name dropped, may not sound like turnstile, but they absolutely scratch that itch

Mindforce has the higher register vocals and the groove/bounce and is certainly an active band you should be listening to.

The Beautiful Ones (Jaded Love) probably has an appeal if you like the early Turnstile material.

    Also, maybe Mizery

Cruel Hand has flirted with more and more melody ever since their first Hopeless release (The Negatives). I’ve enjoyed almost all of their material.

Just put on No Warning though

On a serious note, I'd recommend these bands to anybody who digs Turnstile and wants to dive into the scene a bit more:

One Step Closer (Have a new album coming out in October, but their last EP is great)

    Anxious (FFO Title Fight)

EXCIDE (Recent personal fave; melodic and groovy stuff in the vein of Quicksand and Higher Power)

    Stand Still
(Melodic hardcore in the vein of The Movielife)

Sweet Soul (Pop punk that's not pop punk; blend of power pop and old school punk)
