Ticket sales are ticket sales... I'm always interested in the line-up because it's right in my backyard but since Aaron Dressner stepped away from curating the line-up it's increasingly top-heavy and full of eyerolls for me. Anyway.

An hour as in... 12:30 or 1pm?

It was 1pm, may get moved up since the headliners just leaked…FOB/Luke Combs/DMB…

Where did those "just leak"? I've seen those names floating around since late last week. Did something more "formal" come out?

EDIT: Web site just went "protected." Guess it's going to get bumped up!

I’m not defending the bro-country scene or its fans, but I think that Combs, Bryan, and even Wallen wouldn’t be stadium acts outside of MAGA country if they didn’t have huge, broad fanbases.

I think country superstars are way bigger than ever, and the fans who are really MAGA pilled or haters who aren’t will only pull so much sway either way.

very true…the entire industry is intrinsically tied to MAGA/right wing politics. Unless you’re someone like Kacey, Maren, or Orville…and none of their names will ever reach the stadium heights that country artists who play to the base of the genre will.

also, integrating these type of crowds into previously left/queer/minority leaning events will just destroy the safe spaces that some people felt they were previously.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

The most single day lineup fest I've seen in a long time, the lack of weekend cohesion for that is wild

Saturday and Sunday look pretty fun, but Friday is super underwhelming

  11. Seeing Future Teens and T-Pain on the same day would be fun.

the same reason they still book diplo, melanie martinez, playboi, etc…

the GP doesn’t give a shit about allegations, fucking sad.

  15. or are not knowledgeable about them. i've never even heard of Playboi, let alone their accusations. haven't heard any about Diplo either.

diplo was accused of SA multiple times, as well as revenge porn.

playboi carti choked and assaulted his then-pregnant girlfriend but she refused to cooperate with police.

That Boston Calling line-up is so close to something I'd want to attend. On the whole, the days odn't have much for me but... If Fall Out Boy, Sublime, Public Enemy, Goth Babe, Future Teens, and Rebuilder were all on the same day? I would 100% be going.

I might keep an eye out for a cheap single day on Sunday to see Sublime and Public Enemy. But beyond that... Not sure I could be bothered.

That 2nd day of Boston Calling looks like A LOT of fun.
Another example though of how festival billings leave me scratching my head. Cage the Elephant are an arena headlining act who are still putting out songs that chart, but they're billed below Avril Lavigne? I'm so surprised that Cage isn't headlining any fests in the US yet.

And I'm aware that Avril has been touring arenas/amphitheaters this past year. Just wild that she went from doing 3k rooms in 2019 to doing 15k venues now, with one new album put out that really wasn't a commercial success at all.

I’m curious as to what Sublime’s touring schedule will be like this year. I wonder if they’ll do a full North American tour, or just stick to festivals and one-offs again

Coheed’s Neverender tour in 2008 is the first I remember.

I hope it’s not a louder now play through, rather it be WYWRB or just a mix of the two.
