Yeah the pit is sold out in Portland and the best 100/200 level seats are selling well, but the show isn’t selling beyond that. The sides and 300 level have barely sold at all. They are charging $80-$90 before fees for any 100-200 level ticket which is a bit much. I can see a lot of fans passing this up since they can’t get pit tickets and the other tickets aren’t worth being so far away.

It really should’ve been a large club tour honestly. It’s not 2014, ADTR, manage your expectations realistically.

On the flipside, the Imagine Dragons tour seems to be doing really well. Jones Beach in NY is almost entirely sold out and I think they are doing 4 nights at Hollywood Bowl.

Plus I thought there was all this talk of them playing Homesick in full on this tour, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Unless they do album anniversary tours or are the co-headliner/direct support to another big band, I don’t see them doing shows in this size of venues much in the future. TSSF, FYS, and Militarie Gun/Pain of Truth are solid openers. For ticket sales to be this bad for a summer tour, it’s pretty damning. Doesn’t help that Feedback was a fuckin dookie smoothie of a song, either.

Definitely like the HFStival lineup and was considering going for at least nostalgia's sake.

The ticket prices ended those thoughts, though.

Yeah the GA venue by me on Sunday is 5000 cap and posted a low ticket warning. Every ticket was $55 + fees. That lineup just isn't meant to be in seated venues with crazy price scaling.

Same way the GA Sad Summer shows did great last year when the amphitheaters suffered.

I'm going to the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss show outside Pittsburgh this Saturday and I went to check how tickets were selling and I noticed there was a 2 for $99 deal they're doing with some of the tickets. I did my standard internet check but couldn't crack the code to unlock the deal (I have friends who are interested). Anyone get an email about this or see a code anywhere?

this thread reminded me Porter Robinson was doing arenas also and what the hell are some of these managements doing

Yeah really hoping his new album blows people away. I have tickets to the orlando date and I'm super scared it's gonna get canceled. Cause this doesn't look good

I have heard through the grapevine from some people associated with Four Chord that A Day To Remember and their tour manager have been INCREDIBLY difficult to work with and that they are extremely demanding. Which is even funnier to me now seeing all this discussion about the tour not selling well.

Not only that but arenas, in general, are the WORST place to see a show. I'd rather see more gigs at smaller clubs than huge sports arenas.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

I was just thinking about how different the arena experience is compared to the club experience when I worked the Melanie Martinez gig compared to attending the Knocked Loose gig - different artists absolutely but still

  20. @Blink182Bouncer did you see the ADTR show last week? Did you hear of how busy it was or wasn’t?

Yes I was there! The Ledge is a 6000 capacity venue, and seemed at least 85% full. The venue was configured to be all-standing-room for this night, so it was definitely well-suited to the show. It probably would'vd sold out if they were at the Armory or another venue in the metro area, as opposed to St. Cloud.

But my tickets were only $70. I doubt people would've put up arena prices, which seems to be the problem other markets are facing.

Haven't they always been? I remember going to Warped tour in 2011 and they insisted on having their own stage setup with giant inflatable heads and had to pretty much headline the dates they played

I don’t remember the headline demand because I went to warped twice that year and they played in the middle of the day both times but the inflatables was such a stupid big deal at the time

that whole warped year seemed all about them. I went to multiple dates and if you went to any other stage while they were playing the place was empty. That 2011-2017 period they were literally the biggest band in the scene.
