Shocking how less exciting the Coachella lineup looks compared to the genre-focused events that Goldenvouce is doing this year.

I think GV is trying to make Coachella a “of the moment” festival instead of booking artists that actually excite people. Throw a couple acts from Cruel World, Just Like Heaven, and No Values on Coachella in place of some of the “buy-your-billing on the lineup” pop stars.

Agreed. Also 2024 is NOT 2014 and the idea of going to a music festival, for many people, nowadays just seems exhausting. It's gotta be a killer lineup that you're psyched about as opposed to 2-3 acts spread out throughout the day in the hot sun with kids vomiting on each other all around you.

 

This is pretty sick with some low-key great and unexpected gets toward the bottom (the Jesus Lizard, L7, the Lawrence Arms, Fishbone, Hepcat, the Skeletones). Really, really cool.

Still kinda hate that it takes a promoter like Goldenvoice to book this shit but... This is undeniably rad.

It's an alright lineup but still feels like a wet fart in an enclosed airtight box since it's Goldenvoice.
