I enjoy TSSF a lot and like the new sound. That said their live show is AWFUL.

I know a lot of queen is based on Freddie's voice, but I really think TWY is a good band to capture the instrumentation of a band like queen- all the layers, melodies, rhythms. Plus, since it's live we know that most of the vocals are gonna be drowned out by the crowd. Imagine seeing your favourite band pull off bohemian rhapsody? No chance you can even hear soupy.

Why would the crowd leave before the biggest band in the genre play?

They've also never had good stage presence, and everyone knows. I saw them in 2011 (granted it was Parker + a live touring band) and they didn't move. They've always been that band and people are fine with it.

Because Turnover sounds nothing like TSSF these days.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I saw The Story So Far twice last year in clubs and their crowds were still nuts. Even after Turnstile, who you could argue have a bigger percentage of fans who were coming out for them, specifically, The Story So Far still played to packed houses both nights.

A friend told me about Queen, but the other three have already posted those were the sets they're doing - I'd LOVE to be at that show, haha.

It's still the same scene though. Didn't Turnover recently tour with Turnstile and maybe a couple other hardcore bands? I think genres are more about a "scene" rather than a sound, now more than ever. Both are trendy bands that came out of the same musical vein and pushed their boundaries in different ways, but at the end of the day, I think there's a ton of overlap for the bands here.

starts a week after the Halloween show, so potentially a different lineup. Might then have a reason double dip

    EDIT: guess not, see above

they left Toronto off the initial announcement for their last NA tour as well. Guessing it'll be on the 3rd of Feb if there is a date to be added

i’m not sure about that, i think citizen had their time and they’re certainly on the downswing of popularity

This is such a small tour with a ton of major cities missing. I wonder why

  20. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

They rarely do massive U.S. tours. 16 dates is about right at this point in their touring.

The BMTH tour deliberately skips all the big Wimmer festival spots so I'm assuming they'll be back for those in late April and early May.

Completely agree with this. People seem so high on Citizen here, but when I last saw them it was a weird half empty Iriving Plaza of a small dedicated crowd and disinterested stragglers

Plenty of Turnover fans likely were into The Story So Far at some point. Also TSSF's new singles seem to be pitching for them.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I knew that BMTH are big, but I didn’t know they were “playing the Inglewood Forum” big

  25. Also 70% of Turnover fans still yell for them to play Sasha.

I don’t think that many will leave
