Total guess here, but I'm thinking that OM&M headliner will be announced the same day Cold World releases (September 9).

don't know where better to ask: any earplug recommendations? i use earasers but i'm looking at other options potentially, under 40 bucks please.

 

These are only a few bucks and my ENT doctor said that you won't find anything much higher than a 32 NRR.

 

i want ones that you can actually, you know, hear what the music is supposed to sound like

If you want to still hear the music but want protection, my suggestion is to grab a $10-$20 pair of earplugs from a drum company (Vic Firth, Vater) or Etymotic earplugs. I have personally used the Etymotic and the Vater ones at concerts (as well as playing too) and I can say that they work fine, however the Hearos work fine too as I've used a similar style at one show too.

Sidenote, I think hearing protection at shows is undervalued because all it took for me to start is one bad venue and I haven't gone back to no earplugs since.

 

@cwhit My girlfriend uses these Etymotic earplugs. She's a music teacher/band director, and they definitely let her hear what she needs to from her bands, and they seem to work pretty well for the concerts we go to as well.

 

Etymotics are what I've heard about the most...still trying to figure out if I want to try those over just getting another (more expensive) pair of what I have. Thanks everyone!

I saw the Chicago date pop up on Facebook a few days ago and just assumed it was an off date for some other tour.

 

This is a band I've wanted to see for awhile now but haven't. I've been living in Columbus, OH for 6 years now and in that time they haven't played here once. Starting to think Fat Mike and boys don't like it here. :(

 

They just don't like to tour the US that often.

 

Fat Mike definitely doesn't like Cleveland I know that

 

They haven't played Buffalo since 2008 so don't feel too bad :/
