Damn I use to love them n were nice to me all the time

i was super into that band, ugh.

 

I really hate waking up to another one of these stories everyday. It’s so heartbreaking. But I’m so glad these girls are starting to speak up.

The state of the scene is really bad right now. I have such a bad taste in my mouth. What bands do I even listen to at this point??

 

The girl said it did happen earlier in their career so yes, he could've changed his ways. The problem is, it doesn't change the anxiety and pressure that girl felt for a decade. In my eyes, you shouldn't be against the victim since the only person we truly know is ourselves.

 

I'm not exactly against her, I'm in the middle, it sucks it happened, but I feel he is different now

 

Does it matter if he is different? The damage is already done. People need to learn that there are consequences for being an awful human being and damaging people's lives

 

has he apologized? she's making these accusations now so she obviously doesn't feel there's been closure. that means his actions are still affecting her

 

I'm not sure, I hope he just addresses it and doesn't avoid it

 

Anyway we can move the allegations to another thread? Specifically for allegations/misconduct?
I’m following all of them just as closely as most of you are but I think the tour prediction thread isn’t the place.

In some ways I agree, but on the other hand I know a lot of people in this subforum only check out this subforum and none of the other subforums where this is being brought to attention. This is more important than any tour.

Add Gnarwolves to the list. They just made a post about accusations made against them. Anyone know details? It's the first I'm hearing about it.

Seek out female or non-binary inclusive acts. That's not a foolproof plan (I.E. the Pwr Bttm and He Is We situations) but it's far more likely to keep you away from problematic, abusive acts.

 

I just hate that literally I wake up every day now wondering "hmm which band that is important to me is going to get in trouble next"

 

also keeping more women around lowers the chances that these men will do these horrible consequences without immediate consequences

 

true but not always cuz with con has a female merch person and look what luke did but idk how long shes been with them tho

 

"lowers" the chances. also especially since she's been the only woman around it's harder to speak up, i imagine.

 

Look, I understand where you're coming from. You met him multiple times and he was cool with you and everyone else that was around. I get that. The problem is the one underage girl coming forward (and hopefully she was the last one connected with Mike). I'm not telling you how you should feel/think and I'm not going to criticize you for being in the middle. All I'm going to say is that we truly don't know anyone 100% no matter how close you are to them. Just acknowledge what the victim went through and think why she would come forward with this claim, knowing that a good amount of people will criticize her. If you'd like, feel free to PM me and we'll talk some more about this.
