Yea, I’m not taking the time to edit now. This whole thing is the dumbest thing this site has ever gotten upset over. Again, please take stock in what’s important. In the end they tagged the original band and I’m sure that will help them. Enjoy the band, this era is a gift and we are very lucky to have gotten a record and multiple tours given their history.

So just fun for sake of discussion, wife and I were driving to a wedding, she is kinda out of the loop from work and stuff but she usually has me showing her new bands. She actually went to Scowl with me a few weeks ago and really liked Militarie Gun, and has been digging the new Koyo. I put on Drug Church and she was like “don’t like this, it’s weird for sake of being weird.” I chuckled

This is a bad time of year for me work wise so I don’t go to a lot of shows Oct-Dec, so just Menzingers/Microwave for me. Got 5 shows lined up for 2024 so far though

I'm actually going to get tickets to this and I can barely believe it. They are just about the only band from middle school/high school when I was testing the waters with different bands/genres that I have yet to see (before I firmly settled into the emo/pop punk scene towards the end of high school in 2004/2005). My only constants from like 1999-2004 where I was getting each new release was blink, Eminem, Eve 6, and Linkin Park.

Otherwise it was basically one or two albums from artists like Creed, Limp Bizkit, Puddle of Mudd, Outkast, 50 Cent, G-Unit, Britney Spears, Sugar Ray, The Offspring, Incubus, and Green Day (the only one of them that evolved into a constant come 2004).

But yeah, Creed just seems like it will be a fun show. I originally pretended I'd be ironically going, but it's unironic. I want to see this band and be reminded of simpler times.

they weren't joking. 3DD/F11 is what I heard, and now we have a leaked date with Tonic/F11, and all these bands (aside from F11) are on the cruise of the same tour name, so I guess there are gonna be different legs of support.

July 19 - Monticello, IA - Great Jones County Fair - no support listed
    July 24 - Virginia Beach - Veterans United - 3DD/F11
    August 20 - Gilford, NH - Bank of NH Pavilion - Tonic/F11

also leaked on the Gilford page:
ZZ TOP & LYNYRD SKYNYRD / THE OUTLAWS - THE SHARP DRESSED SIMPLE MAN TOUR
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK / PAULA ABDUL / DJ JAZZY JEFF - MAGIC SUMMER TOUR 2024

To be fair SP was broken up for like 8 years, and it wasn’t until 2018 that most of the OG lineup came back. Motley Crue on the other hand do a farewell tour once every 2 years

I forget what band said it, but they said something like
“It’s a grind and when you are doing it, you really are done. You mean it, you want to put chapters to bed. But then 2,3,4 years after you are done, you miss it real quick and get all these offers to come back for good money.”

I've heard that as well. Honestly, touring just sounds so miserable once you're in middle age even if you get to do it in luxury. I imagine residencies are going to become a lot more common in the years to come.

Yellowcard has been pretty open about them reuniting because of the money offered. I'm sure for bands like them with families, you can't justify not taking the cash.
