Green Day has multiple Dookie-specific stage decorations tonight. Something tells me they didn’t just get those for one show.

Pretty sure they can afford custom cardboard cut-outs for a single gig. Definitely not reading into this.

Wild. Stoked, but I must say, Smashing Pumpkins is the sore thumb of that lineup lol

Fuuuuck that's a massive lineup. Probably stadiums I'd guess right? Pumpkins do amps and arenas by themselves.

SP and Rancid are cool but definitely not the same level of support as Fall Out Boy and Weezer so GD may struggle to fill some of these places

Wonder who we'll get in the UK as SP are playing arenas here with Weezer in the summer

  16. I really don’t want to sit through SP but I’ve also never seen Rancid. I’ll probably hit that up

Cool bill. I'm not a fan of Green Day but they always manage to get great tour support.
Will go for the Pumpkins and Rancid, and maybe stick around for some of GD.

Green Day/Rancid is a dream pairing for me. I really hope that comes to Toronto

  19. Smashing Pumpkins aren't a band I would have expected to take a support slot, even on a stadium tour, so that's pretty cool.

Tour is cool and I'd go, but probably won't buy tickets for a while. I bought a Hella Mega ticket the week of the show for $75 and I wasn't mad at where I sat.

Same, I've never seen them & can't imagine ever going to a headlining tour of theirs, so I'm really excited to see them in this capacity. This is a fucking sick lineup

  23. Same, that's why they were a great Riot Fest headliner for me.

I do like this tour lineup, but having seen them all before aside from the Linda Lindas, I'll probably skip it unless I fall into really cheap tickets or something. Or if they do all of American Idiot - that would be pretty exciting for me.

I posted this in the Green Day thread, but I guess I’m share it here too. Coming from a big Smashing Pumpkins fan, I actually kinda wish there was a different band in their slot for this tour. It seems bizarre to have a heavy alt rock group sandwiched in between a lineup that’s completely punk otherwise. I kinda wish their slot was filled by a more higher-end punk band like The Offspring or Rise Against. That’d fit the vibe way better.

I mean in terms of a 90’s lineup, GD/SP makes sense, but maybe have some different openers that reflect both realms?

That being said, I’m hyped for this tour and will try to be there for sure

If GD plays Dookie on the tour and Pumpkins play Siamese Dream then it 100% makes sense.
