If there's a "big one" missing, I'm going to go ahead and guess that one of the smaller openers is Scowl, Anxious, or Pinkshift? Any of those would be interesting picks without straying too far...

I kinda figured but also wasn't sure if they had like, one final leg of the Dookie cycle that was a bit bigger. But that makes sense. Knew about the AI run because I was at the Foxboro Stadium gig and remember how wild it felt to be there. Super cool experience!

But yeah, this backs what I was saying... It's odd that people talk about them not being able to do stadiums like it means they've dipped in popularity or something. (Which, I mean, they kinda have but it's got nothing to do with them being able to fill stadiums or not. They can still play the regular venues they've been playing their whole career with zero problem I think.)

where my mind went when that hint dropped, not even sure why everyone just assumed and believed blink and pilots

Adding to this: The Ghost Inside, Ice Nine Kills, and Beartooth have all listed blink as influences, (INK even dressed up as blink for their last Halloween show) so I could totally imagine it being one of them.

"Epic comeback" but Green Day never went away? Unless they mean comeback to form.

As far as openers I"ll guess Mannequin Pussy and new Keith Buckley band

Yup, I was bummed I couldn't make the Giants Stadium date here since I was at college so visited a friend near Hartford and saw the same tour w/Jimmy Eat World opening. FUN FACT about the end of the Dookie tour. Z100, a pop station here in NYC was very alt rock leaning at time (the city didn't have a proper modern rock station so they more or less were the de facto station). At the end of 1994 Green Day headlined the Z100 Jingle Ball with an abusrd lineup of Bon Jovi, Hole, Weezer, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Sheryl Crow and the Indigo Girls.

    Things have changed.

Because it was Twenty One Pilots before it wasn't.

I’d hate it, but this actually makes sense. Both are dropping new albums. Also, both are on WWWY, so it seems right that the tour for both would be announced after WWWY is finished.

If it’s Blink/3STM, all the big alt radio stations down here are gonna have a field day

30STM attempted an arena/ampitheater run of their own in 2018 with a whole batch of alt-rock radio bands (Joywave, Misterwives, Walk The Moon, etc) and it sold TERRIBLY. I don't really think they can tour North America in a big way without partnering with a much bigger act.

Also, all hopes I had for Pop Disaster 2.0 have gone out the window lol

Out of the 190 people Travis follows on ig Scowl is one of them. I’m just shooting at the hip and saying them.

    Connecting some dots

If it’s 30 Seconds to Mars & Knocked Loose then Bryan coming out to scream during The Kill at Lollapalooza might have been a test/warm up for them doing it together on the blink tour next year

    Things have changed.

The number band was always a reference to Twenty One Pilots. And that tour is no longer happening.

true, we're a powerful purchasing demographic-- if you don't have the support of chorus.fm, your tour is basically destined to fail.

there was a major negative reaction from both fan bases, so glad it’s not happening.

Maybe if we complain some more, 3STM will drop off the lineup
